Lake Chabot, CA UFO Encounter: Abduction / Missing Time / Implant / Cover-Up

Summer 1966 – Castro Valley, California

JD in Sacramento, California called in to tell of a whopper of story that happened back in 1966. This one has it all – aircraft carrier sized UFO, possible abduction, missing time, the Oz effect, disappearing implants and a possible landing trace cover-up/MIBs:

“In the summer of '66, we, my girlfriend and I, we were parking. This was about 11:30 or 12:00 o'clock at night. We were in Castro Valley, California up in the hills. There was an object that was flashing illuminations of red, green and blue and this is what drew our attention. We observed this object for approximately an hour and we didn't know what type of craft this was. Now what was highly unusual about this is everything I'm about to describe.

This spanned from, if you're familiar with the geographical location of Castro Valley area – it spans from the freeway to the end of, there's a lake called Lake Chabot. The city is closer in view in between where it was sitting and where we were viewing it about three miles away. Above the craft itself was a cloud layer only above it. The craft, we tried to get a measurement. My uncle is an engineer that helped design the hospital that was in between the site of the actual craft and us. The hospital is approximately ten stories high. If you turned the hospital to its side, longways, it was longer than six of those distances between one end and the other end. Now as we watched this craft, it was little red dot. It would appear on one edge of the craft and go across the base where we could see it and then it would disappear and re-appear on another end of the craft at an infrequent speed and time. So after studying this for about an hour we decided to find out the bearings of this location and we needed to go down to it. I did want to get to that location, I did want to get a better look but I didn't want to come directly underneath it so I thought I would try to drive a little closer to the side of this thing.

We drove across the freeway, which we had to get to and down past the valley boulevard to get to that specific area. And, 11 o'clock at night, in the summer-time, you have kids cruising up and down the strip in their hotrods. I used to do the same thing. But on that particular night, as we crossed the freeway, there was no cars whatsoever on the freeway, anywhere. Now this is the weekend. We drove right on up to the craft. We could actually see it above us. We drove to the edge of it but the girlfriend at that time who ended up being my wife, she was talking to me and all of a sudden there was a sound that came from inside the car. We rolled down the windows to make sure we had good air circulation. It was nothing to do with the car. She stopped in the middle of what she was saying and I couldn't wake her. But I continued driving up, closer to the end of this craft.

It was GIGANTIC but as I got closer to this craft, the car started to slow down. The engine started to slow down and I accelerated and it still kept slowing down. And then I started hearing this loud frequency emitting from the centre of the car outward. I was... I couldn't wake my girlfriend at that time. We headed on up and I almost felt like the energy from the top of my head was being drawn out... just drained. I tried to shake myself, make sure I was seeing what I was seeing, doing what I was doing and I checked the car to make sure and it was still slowing down. I couldn't believe what happened, I turned the car around. I could still see this huge craft. We head back down the hill and then all of a sudden my girlfriend woke up and was in the middle of the same conversation.

We headed back down into Castro Valley Boulevard. The craft was gone. All of a sudden everybody's cruising down on the strip, the lights are on, people are driving on the freeway as usual. Now this is the unusual part, immediately she was shocked: 'I thought we were going up, how did we turn around?' (Jimmy Church asked if he saw the craft depart) I was busy trying to keep my consciousness. And when we got back down to the road, she came instantly to. Back in her conversation when she stopped. She was like, 'What are we doing going down, we were going the other direction?'

Another thing, later that night, she couldn't sleep and I was, I was fine, but she couldn't sleep. She was agitated. She was very irritable. And she had this lump on her arm that was bulging out of her arm. Now here's what really got me. Now I got two degrees, one in engineering and one in sociology. I'm also cleared by the US Secret Service for many different things but I'm not going to go into that, but this object that was in her arm, it was long. I took a needle, I sanitized it and I pricked it with the needle and I pulled this metallic object about a quarter of an inch out of her skin. I checked it out with some tweezers and it was held together. What it looked like was a very miniature sputnik. You remember that? All these metallic hairs were still under her skin. I pulled it all out and she... she almost panicked. And it was metallic because, like I said, I had tweezers holding on to it. So what we did, we put it in an envelope and we sealed it because we had to tell my father. My father worked for NASA and he would have given us a better explanation of what had transpired.

We were very excited over this but when we woke up the very next morning, the object inside the envelope had disappeared completely. We both placed it inside the sealed envelope but when we woke up the next morning, that object wasn't there. First of all, the envelope was still sealed. We opened it up and it was gone. It was no longer inside. So about a week later, I go back to that same location and then they had the whole parking, maybe about a mile before you even get there, all closed down and there was a tracking station, I guess a satellite tracking station, very close to that location. And I went up there and asked, did anything happen that was weird or strange, over say the last couple of nights or the last couple of weeks? And then they stopped and then the manager came out and was asking me about, 'What do you mean?' He asked me for more specific information but I didn't want to admit what I had seen to him because I don't want to get involved too much with that sort of situation, but he advised me to go meet with certain authorities that was down in the South Bay, I think near Moffett Field, to tell them about that. He wrote down the information for me and, after that time, I forgot about it. But since that time I took that out of her arm, she has been the worst human being that I have ever known in my life, the most violent... now to this day she swears she never passed out. She swears that we never even got to the top of the mountain. Now me, I believe that I had gotten to the top and, before I lost consciousness, I turned the vehicle around and started driving right back down and then she woke up. So therefore if she believed that she was never up there (Church cuts him off at this point. I think he was going to say that he also wonders if even though he believes he never passed out, in reality, he, like his wife, actually did pass out but has no memory of it...ie, he and his wife were abducted by whomever was driving that craft. Church asks if there were any reports in the news around that time of the craft) Yes, they had some great big pad-marks that they were doing some research on. They fabricated a story that there was a... (can't make out the word?) up there but I saw some photographs later of the pads...some huge object must have been sitting up there in the park. There were no eyewitness testimonials of what had occurred that night. And now I've been aboard the Enterprise aircraft carrier, it was much larger than the Enterprise.”

That's quite an encounter account. I've included a few maps and other information that may help with the explanation of this incident.

I believe the witnesses may have been in the hills just south of Castro Valley (possibly in the Ward Creek area near CSU-East Bay, Hayward, CA) since it is a direct sight-line across Castro Valley to Lake Chabot and across the Eden Medical Center, I believe the hospital JD referenced (it was built in 1954 and was the tallest hospital in the area by several stories). This is a distance of approximately 4 miles.

Castro Valley, CA has had multiple sighting reports over the years...some more interesting than others:

A Man of Light

Santa Maria, CA - 8/2/2011: OK, so my friend Jorge and I were going to visit my grandmas for the weekend. She lives up in the mountains with no neighbors, roads, or closely located facilities anywhere. We were sitting in her green house late at night when I thought I noticed a shooting star outside the windowing in the roof. After focusing for a bit longer I realized what I thought was a shooting star is now still. So I dismissed it and went back to hanging out. Only after another hour I saw the "star" slowing drifting like a plane, so again I didn't pay it much attention. What caught my eye on this very clear night was the sudden downward movement of the light. Paying attention to it now the drifting progressively turned into quick movements, quick enough that the light trailed behind itself moving so fast a small + sign was in the sky. Just as soon as my amazement took over and I started to question what it could be, it dramatically stopped, then began to quickly brighten making no noise. Mind you we were on the top of a canyon so a small plane would have no business flying literally 50ft next to the small house we were in. Only then when it passes the greenhouse I could relate it to a plane in terms of noise, but the surface was pitch black, and I saw a brighten cockpit, but right after it passed no noise, lights nothing. So we say there and explained what we just saw in awe. I thought maybe we had been kind of loud cause we were slightly worried we didn't know what happened, that's when I thought my grandma was coming to check on us which was odd. The light I saw wasnt on the small dirt road but approaching up an almost vertical incline horizontal to it. What I saw then has made me question my existence as an individual, because I saw a outline of a person made of light. Imagine a normal weighted man, but his outline was a culmination of colors but I could see through the center of it. That and when it walked it left almost copies or like a slinky stretching of fading images in the previous stance of its walk. Only to continue across the path,up another sheer face of 20 ft, and disappear into one giant flash. I checked the ground no footprints or any sign of evidence that something was there, even were the light brighten and the event ended, I went and check to find a few bushes nothing more. As this went on though I felt privileged to see this. My grandma is the only other person to have seen anything strange before too just as a side note. - MUFON CMS

Freaky 'Child Angel' Dolls Big Fad in Thailand

Here's a video...weird haunted baby dolls...cost about $500US each

A Thai airline will allow passengers to purchase seats for life-like dolls that their owners treat as real children due to their belief that they possess supernatural powers.

Thai Smile Airways, which is a part of national carrier Thai Airways International, said in an internal memo that dolls with tickets will be served snacks and drinks, though they will be barred from sitting in exit rows. Owners who take dolls on the plane without tickets will have them treated as carry-on luggage.

The dolls known as Luk Thep, or Child Angels, have become increasingly popular in Thailand after several celebrities extolled their benefits. The dolls, which can sell for hundreds of dollars, are thought to possess the spirits of child angels and their owners pamper them with brand-name clothes and accessories due to the belief that a well-cared-for doll will bring good fortune.

The memo from Thai Smile explains to staff that the Luk Thep dolls can be treated like children because they have undergone a "spiritualisation" process that breathes life into them. In addition to being barred from exit rows, the dolls must also buckle up during take off and landing.

A Bangkok buffet restaurant is also running a special for the dolls.

"In the past month, more than 30 customers have brought their Luk Thep to eat at Neta Grill," the restaurant said on its Facebook page Sunday. "Neta Grill is open to all worshipers (sic) and we're glad to serve Luk Thep at children's prices on the condition that all of the food ordered is consumed." - 'Supernatural' dolls are treated like people on Thai Smile Airways

Haunted Home Gets International Attention

BOTHELL — A Western Washington home is getting international attention now that a pair of scientists from England have flown in to collect and examine unexplained phenomenon.

Keith Linder said he noticed strange things happening on the first day he moved into his Bothell home.

He constantly hears noises. Objects have been moved. Someone, or something, has even left threatening messages on his walls.

Linder said, “If they throw an object then it’s going to be a series of two weeks of objects being thrown. Then the objects get heavier.”

Linder has lived in the home for four years. He has invited a number of religious leaders over to perform cleansing ceremonies. He says they work for a couple days and the spirits keep coming back.

Now, a team of scientists from England is at his home. They brought an arsenal of ghost hunting gadgets and will collect a lot of data during a week long stay.

Linder said he just wants to know the ‘why’. He has no plans of moving, yet.

“I’ve always was raised knowing there are spirits that wander in and out,” Linder said. “I’m here. You’re here. Let’s all live together.” - Haunted house in Western Washington gets international attention

NOTE: sounds like a strong malevolent earthbound entity that refuses to leave the location. Doubtful if it's a poltergeist under the circumstances. It's able to collect additional energy for some reason...that source is what they need to concentrate on finding. Cleansing ceremonies by clergy are just going to piss it off, causing more frustration...allowing it to gain more energy. These type of spirits are very difficult to move into the next realm. It usually requires less-conventional weakening and removal rituals...Lon

Flying Humanoid Sighting Near Mt. Fuji

I recently received an inquiry from Australia:

Sir - I am writing on behalf of a business friend who I visited in September 2015. He lives in Tokyo, Japan. While I was there he told me of an incident that occurred while he and his fiance traveled to the Mt. Fujiyama Komitake shrine.

They had been at the shrine and other local sites throughout the day. While they were leaving the parking lot they both noticed a strange looking man crouched down by a tree near the edge of the forest. My friend slowed down his car as they continued to watch this man. The forest was dark, but they could see a halo of red light over his head. About that time he turned and stood up. Instantly a pair of huge dark butterfly-like wings sprung open from his back and he shot up into the canopy. As it ascended, they noticed the wings reflected light.

They then noticed that two older women had been watching this man as well, who screamed and ran away towards a nearby building. Other people then reacted to the screams and were looking towards the forest. My friend did not stay and drove off. They were both frightened and his fiance cried most of the way home.

I was shocked by their encounter and started to look on the internet after I returned home to NSW, Australia. I then read about the Mothman incidents and other strange winged humanoids. I talked to my friend and he said that someone had told him the same thing and that it had been seen in Japan. Could you offer an explanation? Thanks - Jan

I sent an email to Jan asking for more details, if possible. He wrote back and mentioned that his friend was worried about mentioning this being to others. His finance seems to believe that this was an evil omen concerning Mt. Fuji and possible disaster. I remembered a witness or two who stated that a Mothman-like being was seen before the 2011 Japan earthquake / tsunami. Here is an article I had posted at the time...if was forwarded by a colleague:

Witness Claims Mothman Sighting in Japan Prior to Earthquake

I’m not sure if this is the appropriate time to come forward with this story seeing that the recent events in Japan are still fresh in every ones memory. I have been a follower of your website. Naturally your site was the one I thought of first when this incident happened and I decided to write in and tell you what happened that night in early February.

I was in Japan on business and had emailed a lifelong friend who was living in Japan and teaching English at a local school. He had insisted on my staying with him for the duration of my stay, saying it would help save me money and make my expense report look better when I turned it in. My friend (I will call him Tim for the sake of his reputation and career) was a lifelong bachelor and had a fairly large apartment all to himself and his cat. After several days of day long meetings and group seminars, we had decided to go out to get a bite to eat and take in the town. After a fairly large meal and hopping from one night spot to another we decided to go toward the ocean and check out the moonlight reflecting off the waves. My friend stated that he wanted to check on a biology station that some of his graduate students had set up near a large power plant.

As we approached the plant from the west, we walked along some paths and came to a simple metal box bolted into the ground, from this box there were a myriad of weather vanes, and other meteorological devices. My friend stated the schools science class students had a theory that just like the water being used and discharged by the power plant was warmed by the production of electricity; the air around the plant was also being warmed and thus affecting weather and tidal patterns in the surrounding eco-system. It all sounded too complex and in my slightly tipsy and tired state was only able to grasp the bare bones of the complex theory he laid out.

He finished up and changed the subject to something more jovial when all of a sudden we heard a loud and distinct “WHOOSH” at first my mind thought it might be the sound of the distant waves crashing ashore when we heard it again, followed by a ear pitching screech that shook me down to the bone and made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. We looked around for the cause of the noise, when we heard the sound again. The best way I can describe it is a city buses brakes when they are in need of service, Loud and ear splitting. We both continued to look around when my friend’s attention was drawn toward the plant by another nearby couple. A younger couple, out for a walk were staring toward the plant, arms outstretched and the obvious fear in their voice showing itself.

I looked toward the plant, and against the lights of the plant I thought I saw a figure silhouetted against the moonlit sky. The figure was large and black, from the distance I was at it looked to be sitting on top of one of the squared shape buildings. It sat there for about 5 seconds then it unfurled a large set of what I could only describe as large, black wings. The only reference I can compare them too are from the old John Travolta movie “Michael” where the main character unfurls his wings and spreads them out to their full length. To say that this creature was large was an understatement.

The creature then took flight and circled the plant at least 4-5 times, some circuits he took at a fast pace, some he seemed to slow down, all the while he kept his attention on the row of square shaped buildings that I later found out housed the reactors. The creature then came toward us, flying at least 25-30 feet off the ground. The younger couple who had noticed the creature first were now screaming and cowering, the man shielding the woman while shielding his head with a jacket. My friend and I looked in awe as this creature flew over us. That’s when I noticed the two large red eyes; they seemed to glow from within and with a blood red hue. They were unblinking in the 3-4 seconds we saw them, we knew they were looking straight at us, we knew this creature knew we could see it and it made no attempt to disguise itself. The sick, intense and overwhelming feeling of dread came over us. A feeling that we shouldn’t be there was to say the least, overwhelming.

As quickly as it came, it flew away, back toward the town, eventually melting into the black night sky and as it flew away from us a loud whoosh was heard again and then...silence. This lasted a second or two before I heard the sound of a shutter and turned to see my friend trying to take pictures with his cell phone, but all he got was dark, night time sky. We went straight home and my friend bolted the door and drew all the blinds, he was shaking and saying that he could not believe what he saw, could it have been a large, unknown species of bird? He kept mumbling to himself until I was able to calm him down and get him to relax and talk about what we had seen. Eventually we both agreed that it must have been some sort of large bird, or maybe an optical illusion caused by the lights given off by the plant on a regular, known species of bird.

We talked about it late into the night, till we both fell asleep on the couches and awoke the next morning to stiff necks and backs. My friend and I spent the last two days out and about and enjoying each other’s company, till he drove me to the airport and we bid each other farewell and I came home.

We spoke about it only once more in an email about a week before he was due to come to the U.S. for his sister’s wedding. When I brought it up at the wedding rehearsal dinner, he was convinced that it had been an optical illusion. That was until the day before the wedding when he woke me out of a deep sleep with a frantic phone call telling me to turn on the TV. There came the images of the devastation of the Japanese earthquake and the near total destruction of the city of the town of Okuma, where my friend was living and working. The day of the wedding the news came of the explosions at the local nuclear power plant and as CNN broadcast the report, we were both a gasp as the same power plant where we had seen the strange bird-like object was not being shown on the television set. The Fukushima Daiich was the exact same plant we had seen the strange bird like creature circling. Was it pure coincidence or was it the mythical Moth-Man doing his strange work of predicting disasters? I may never know and may go to the grave wondering that, but one thing is certain for sure, I don’t think that neither of us is going to forget this event, no matter how long we live.

Thank you for reading my story. I give you permission to share this story with your readers.

Thank you so much for your time.

Southern Utah Bigfoot Encounter

Vincent in Salt Lake City, Utah called in to tell of a bizarre encounter he had one night:

“I actually grew up in the south of Utah. I encountered something strange down there. I lived out in the middle of nowhere and we had a bunch of dogs and we had a lot of hitchhikers because we lived on a main road that goes through there and my dad was a cop and worked long days and stuff. One night the dog starts barking and he just stuck his gun out the door and he said, hey, go figure out what that is. So I went out and we had one dog on each corner of... we had an actual pump-house to pump water we lived that far out of town. And I checked the dogs and they were very upset and I got to the one dog and she is cowering down on the ground shaking. I thought she was hurt but she wasn't hurt, just really scared. And when I was checking on her, I got the distinct feeling that I didn't really check behind me very good and when I started to turn around... and I had a gun in my hand so I shouldn't have been that scared. So when I started to turn around there was... It may as well have been a pile of leaves or a pile of dirt or something, stood straight up and ran away from me and I didn't hear anything other than crunching sounds as it was running. And we lived on the side of a really steep hill and it run right down the side of that hill and on the bottom of that hill were trees and a river. I could hear twigs breaking... By the time I realized what had gone on, I got to the side of the hill to see where it was going and it made it all the way down and it was very steep hill, it had gone all the way down there and I could hear the tree branches breaking off and I was petrified. I was shaking so bad that if I had wanted to shoot it I wouldn’t have been able to. I was terrified. My dad was a cop and he called in – the county had a professional tracker / hunter guy by the name of Billy, and they brought him in. I thought it was a bear, just how big it was but I swear to you, I'm not making it up, it ran on two legs. And a bear isn't just gonna hunker down and pretend... I mean, yeah. He checked. He looked at the impressions and I mean, down there, it's all gravel and sand and sagebrush, there's no soft soil at all. And he looked and he could see the impressions and he said, if this was a bear, it's bigger than anything I've ever done and I've been doing it for 30 years. Yeah, it was terrifying and there were sightings in the area a couple of days after that. It could have ripped me apart.”

Attacking Coyotes High on Mushrooms

West Marin residents have lately been reporting a strange sight on Highway 1 near the Slide Ranch turnoff. It’s all the talk at Beth’s Community Kitchen in Bolinas and elsewhere: A coyote has taken to staring down automobile drivers as they drive through this twisting, turning section of highway, before attacking the car and then skulking off back into the wilderness. The coyote runs up to the cars, usually at night, forcing drivers to stop as the beast stares and sniffs around the vehicle.

The coyote “attacks” have happened a bunch of times, to enough people, to warrant calls to figure out what’s going on with the animal. Or, animals, as the latest grist out of Bolinas has it that there are now two coyotes acting a little weird, or a lot weird: Drive-by coyote stare-downs have now become part of the normative experience for a Bolinas-based individual who makes numerous nighttime airport runs every week. We are not identifying this individual, who fears retribution at the vengeful paws of these bushy-tailed beasts. He would only say, “It’s a terrifying, yet beautiful thing to behold.”

The Marin Humane Society has fielded at least one inquiry from a coyote-concerned citizen and is looking into the case of the aggressive coyote, says Lisa Bloch, director of marketing and communications for the society. “We are trying to figure this out.”

There are three possible scenarios to explain the behavior, ranging from least probable, kind of fun to consider and most probable. The least probable problem with the coyote, or coyotes, is rabies. This sort of “Old Yeller” type of aggression usually comes at the end-stage of the disease, the “terror stage” or “zombie stage” of rabies, at which point the animal is going to die, Bloch says.

These coyote attacks have been going on for at least three weeks. If it were rabies, Bloch says, the coyote would likely be dead by now. “If this is going on longer than a week or so, then it’s likely not rabies. And we don’t suspect rabies, just because it is pretty rare.” Read more at Upfront: Coyote crazy

Woman Believes She is a Real Cat

The woman, who goes by the name Nano, claims that she is a cat that has been born in to the wrong body.

The Norwegian, who discovered her peculiar trait at the age of 16, has since adopted numerous feline mannerisms and claims that she has become terrified of water.

"I realized I was a cat when I was 16 when doctors and psychologists found out what was 'the thing' with me," she said. "Under my birth there was a genetic defect."

Nano maintains that her feline status has granted her superior senses enabling her to see in the dark and to pick up faint sounds that other people are unable to hear.

She also wears a pair of cat ears on her head and an artificial tale fastened around her waist.

"Sometime I hiss when meeting dogs in the street," she said. "It's because of their behavior and my instinct automatically reacts by hissing. It's also obvious that I'm a cat when I start purring and meowing.. and walking around on four legs and stuff like that."

"My psychologist told me I can grow out of it, but I doubt it. I think I will be cat all my life." Read more at Woman says she is a cat trapped in the wrong body - she hisses at dogs, hates water and claims she can even see better at night

Quick 'Voodoo' Primer

The ancient art of Voodoo originated as shamanistic traditions brought from Africa to the New World during the slave trade and combined with the ritualism of the faithful in the Western Hemisphere. Voodoo is the belief that ritual enactment of a desire will produce that desire.

The rituals of Voodoo almost always involve attracting and keeping a lover. In centuries past, when information flow was much slower, a Voodoo priest or priestess was entrusted as the keeper of these rituals, but in the information age, one can become a practitioner of the simpler of these ritualistic ceremonies.

The love spell is the most common type of Voodoo practiced. Voodoo love spells are quite effective in aiding a seduction, getting a lover to return to you or in strengthening the devotion of a man you are currently with. The bad reputation of Voodoo is due to its success in seduction; it has received envy and loathing over the years, largely from those whose lovers have abandoned them under the influence of a Voodoo love spell.

Voodoo is not without its risks. If you cast a Voodoo love spell on a man, realize that your soul could become bound to his. Do not use one of these spells on a man for whom you lust after but do not want to be with forever. These spells bind you; they are an oath to ethereal energy patterns (aka spirits) that you will produce amazing love energy for the universe if only these spirits will alter the energy of the material plane in your favor.

The Voodoo priestess lives in isolation specifically because she can have any man with the wave of her hand, but knowing this, she hides from all men to preserve her eternal soul. Astral Perceptions Universal

Arcane Radio Presents: Jay Bachochin - Founder, 'WPI Hunts The Truth'

This week we welcome our friend and colleague...'truthologist' Jay Bachochin to Arcane Radio.

I've been interested in the paranormal, pretty much since I was old enough to hold an interest. I was raised on Creature Features back in the early 70's. I just loved "anything" that was supernatural. It wasn't until 1979 when I witnessed something paranormal first hand and saw the most amazing display of a well lit flying object above our heads in my hometown of Lindenhurst, IL. What did my brother, sister and my mom see that night? We could all say it was a UFO, but until this day .... we still can't explain what we saw. However, it was fascinating to watch these lights move in the night sky over a total of :20 minutes.

Throughout my life I have experienced many different types of paranormal activity. Not all ghostly experiences but 'odd' to say the least. I've experienced a 5 second black-out when I was 8 years old. The black-out didn't only happen to me at that time, but also the friend I was with at the time. This 5 second black-out was the most bizarre thing I can recall from childhood. How can 2 people share the same black-out?

I've witnessed many different unidentified flying objects near my hometown and my current residence over the years. Only if they had smart phones back in the day where I could get that evidence everybody talks about.

Finally, during some investigating I have experienced what some people would call a ghost. Not sure if it was a deceased person's spirit running through my body, or if there is something natural that we don't comprehend. Whatever it was .... charged me with static electricity, made every hair on my body stand as tall as the Redwood National Forest yet was as cold as ice.

I believe that we are not alone in our universe: another race of alien beings? a greater force beyond comprehension? worm-holes? time scapes? parallel universes? Bottom line is I like to THINK-OUTSIDE-THE-BOX.

Maybe it's my faith in God knowing that anything and everything is possible?

I am not a ghost hunter, ufologist, or a cryptozoologist ... I am a Truthologist (one that seeks the truth of anything paranormal).

'He turned into a tree..!'

One interesting tidbit that I have noticed over the many years I have researched the strange and unusual is that military facilities and engagements experience a wide variety of paranormal phenomena. But the following account is just plain weird.

Tim in Kentucky called Coast to Coast AM to tell of something bizarre that he experienced while serving in the military:

“One time, back when I was in the Army, I was out in Fort Hood (TX) doing maneuvers and I was the lucky one with radio watch that particular night. So I'm sitting there doing my little hour-long shift and we've got the ranchers there. They've got the cattle range on the land and they would eat the grass. Well, one of them came up into our area of operation. And, you know, he had his little whip and so I was kind of talking to him because I was bored, you know. There wasn't much else going on and he didn't speak any English and my Spanish is really bad so I was like great, I can practice and that will help me stay awake.

And so we were sitting there talking for awhile. It got to the end of my shift and I had to wake the next guy up. The farmer's not supposed to be there so I'm like, 'Hey man, you gotta go' and he wouldn't leave. Finally I was like, 'No, man, you gotta git, I gotta get the next guy up.' So I reach over to grab hold of him and....he turned into a bush. He really did. He just turned into a tree. I mean it was like, you know South Texas is with the trees? And he just turned into a tree. I... I... That tree wasn't there when we set up. He was gone. He just turned into a tree. I was like, 'Oh my god!' and, you know, I got the next guy up because it was his time and he was talking about, 'Why did we put our camp right here with this tree in the middle?' I mean, I tell you what... it was just like a little shrub, like it had just grown over night or something. It stood about 5 or 6 feet. Just weird.”

I have heard of people shape-shifting into animals or simple vanish...but morphing into a tree or bush is a new one for me. Could this have been some form of sorcery or magic? Sounds like an episode from the movie 'The Fountain.' What explanation can you offer? Lon

Nine Human Skulls Found In Compton Santeria Store

The magic of Southern California strip malls is that though they fall into somewhat predictable archetypes of nail spots, weed stores, and Middle Eastern food joints, ultimately you never know what you're going to find.

Like on Friday, in Compton, when somebody called the L.A. County Sheriff's Department to investigate claims of animal cruelty at a storefront Santeria religious institution on Long Beach Boulevard, according ABC 7. Once there, Sheriff's Deputies discovered what they believed were nine human skulls.

To investigate further, the Sheriff's department called in the L.A. County Coroner's department. Coroner's investigators found several other bones along with the skulls, though they were unable to immediately determine whether or not they were animal or human in origin.

Possessing skeletal human remains is legal in California, though it can be challenging to navigate through the state's health-and safety bureaucracy to do so. The job of the Sheriff' and Coroner's departments is to now determine if the bones actually are human, and if they are, whether or not the Santeria store legally obtained them.

"There is nothing sinister here," said Sheriff's Homicide Capt. Steve Katz to the Los Angeles Times. "The skull and possible eight other skulls in vessels were being used in Santeria. The question is were the skeletal remains acquired appropriately."

Santeria is a Caribbean religion said to have originated with the West African Yoruba people, and was transmitted across the Atlantic through the slave trade. There, the religion mingled with Catholicism until it became the mix that it is today.

At this particular Compton location, spiritual advisors dressed in all white during ceremonies, and pontificated they could cast away negative energy bonded to ceremony participants.

Sometimes the ceremonies involved the sacrifice of live chicken or goat, leading to original animal cruelty call.
Like we said, you never know what you'll find in your average, unassuming strip mall. - Nine Assumed Human Skulls Found In Compton Santeria Store

Djinn Blamed For Fires in Egypt

A village in northern Egypt has been gripped by panic after dozens of houses were burnt in a series of mysterious fires.

A police investigation is still under way, but villagers believe the cause of the fire is supernatural, started by "djinn" - mythological evil spirits.

Several families in Mina Safour have abandoned their homes and are staying in the streets over fears that they could be the next victims.
