Daily 2 Cents: Dark Beam From 'No Where' -- Frightening UFO Encounter -- Curious Orb Maneuvers

Dark Beam From 'No Where'

Nashville, TN - 5/27/2015: I was driving to pick my boyfriend up from work and was dancing to music looking at the clouds be a use it had just rained and the clouds were white and greyish and very fluffy but as I looked to my left in the distance I could see a blue streak coming from NO WHERE it was barely visible but because it went over and through a white cloud it made it made me focus to try to see where it came from above the cloud after about 5 seconds I grabbed my cell phone and snapped a picture and the light had already changed and I had to drive away but I kept looking back to see if it was still there and it was as I continued to drive away I could still see it but 35 minutes later I took that same path home and it was gone. I can't figure out where it came from I saw nothing but the beam and heard no sound other than traffic. I'm not sure if anyone else saw it but there was a significant amount of traffic. - MUFON CMS

Rare white-faced fawn

Born about a week and a half ago at Deer Tracks Junction farm in Cedar Springs, Michigan, a fawn named Dragon was unique from the start. His birth mother, "Bunny" is a special type of whitetail deer known as the Piebald, which carries a genetic defect causing it to have large areas of white in its coat.

The defect reportedly occurs in less than 1 percent of the whitetail deer population. Dragon was rejected by his mother after birth, likely by natural instinct because he looks different than other fawns. His white colouring would cause him to stand out rather than blend in when trying to hide in nature, Hilary Powell says.

Dragon spent his first few few nights inside Powell's home being bottle-fed before graduating to his own small pen in her yard. Powell still handles his feedings. Later this summer, as he grows and becomes stable, he'll join the other deer in a large fenced-in pasture area. This could happen as early as July, Powell said.

Dragon was a masculine name chosen by Powell's son because so many of the other animals have softer-sounding names. The fawn has a white face, legs and underside, blue eyes and a pink nose. He was walking right after birth, Powell said, and will grow significantly just in his first year. Deer Tracks Junction opened in 2012. It's a working farm that offers educational opportunities for children and families. - Rare white-faced fawn, rejected by mother, finds new life at animal farm

Frightening UFO Encounter

Circleville, Ohio - 2/20/1998: First of all I have been abducted many times throughout my life. I'm just glad that there were other witnesses to this event. Me and my sister were sitting at the kitchen table at about 1 am we heard a loud thump at the front of the trailor went and looked thinking maybe something had fallen or something but nothing was out of place. About an hour later we heard the same exact thump at the opposite end of the trailor, again we inspected and nothing was out of place. At that point we thought that maybe someone was outside messing with us. So we went outside and looked but all was silent and no one was around. We went back inside and just brushed it off. At about 3 am we were sitting at the kitchen table talking when we heard an extremely load roaring sound and feeling the vibrations. My sister looked out the window and said "oh my god it's a ufo". Immediately I started screaming( like a little girl I am ashamed to say) because of past abduction experiences. Then my sister started screaming also. All the screaming had awoken my youngest nephew who was sleeping in the back bedroom who was around 10 or 11 months old at the time. My oldest nephew who was close to 3 at the time did not wake up the whole time which is very strange because he was sleeping on the couch and we were practically screaming in his ear. Anyways I just wanted to get the heck out of there and try to stop whatever was going to happen. My instincts led me to run and grab my youngest nephew because he was screaming. I was terrified but I couldn't just leave him. So I ran out the back door with him in my arms but waited for my sister(which was only seconds but felt like a lifetime). As I stood there the Ufo was right above me roaring the whole time but with no wind heat or anything but the noise. It was so low I could have hit it with a rock just by tossing it. When my sister finally came out she was alone and I said what r u doing go grab (I don't want to use real names) your other kid so she did(she later explained that she felt that the children were in no danger that "they" were there for us. As she went back inside I ran to the next door neighbors' house and started beating on the door and yelling for him to wake up I even tried opening and kicking the door in because I was so scared. My sister or I had no phone that's why I went to the neighbor. All the while the ufo was just hovering still roaring very loudly. When my sister came out carrying her other child we ran to our parents house that was a few doors down because the neighbor never did come to the door (who later stated that he heard us screaming bloody murder then pounding on his door and he also heard the loud roaring but said he couldn't move that he was paralyzed)so I kicked my parents door in and ran to their bedroom woke them up and told them what was happening and my mom asked if we had taken Lsd which was not the case. So I went to the phone and dialed 911 and hung up because I knew they probably wouldn't believe my story. Finally the police showed up and tried to say it was an airplane that they saw serial numbers on it which I know better. One of the officers said it was heading to a nearby airport but when I mentioned the thumps we heard the one officer seemed spooked and asked us about it then the other cop shushed him. I told the one officer to take me to that airport and show me because I knew he was full of crap. He threatened to take me to jail for " false" use of 911. If a ufo that loud and flying that low (not including my abduction experiences) isn't an emergency then what is? I know the cops had to have seen what we saw by the way they acted and I am 99 percent sure there are police records to prove my claims. The craft that we saw that night was triangle shaped with a yellowish light in each corner. Dullish black in color about 100 to 150 feet on each side. Some sort of dullish black dome on top. And about 8 to 10 feet tall. It emitted no wind or heat but did make a very loud roaring sound the whole time. It would take an incredible amount of energy for something that size to just sit stationary. - MUFON CMS

Curious Orb Maneuvers

I've been reading your latest posts that have mentioned orbs. One in particular was very familiar - Lake Anten. The motion of the orb and its behaviour in this post is very similar to the approx. 20 orbs I saw around 1975. I sent the following report to the Canadian UFO survey in March of 2014.....

It was a very cold clear winter evening. The snow was very crunchy and there was no wind. I believe I was in 2nd year university, so around 21 yrs old and probably 1975. I was out cross country skiing with my mother on her 100 acre farm near Elora, Ontario ( 100 miles west of Toronto ). We were skiing towards the back of the farm thru the open field with our two dogs. It was full dark, but probably not much later than nine or so as my mom went to bed fairly early.

About 3/4 of the way back there was a fence that ran at right angles to our direction. A single row of 20 year old or so trees and bushes grew along this fence. Our attention was at first drawn to flickering light in these trees. We thought it might be hunters with flashlights out raccoon hunting and were immediately concerned as our dogs had run on ahead.

As we got closer we saw a round light float up just above this single row of trees and seem to bob along parallel to the fence for a ways before sinking slowly back down to almost ground level. Probably around 30 feet rise / fall. We soon realized that what we thought was flashlights was actually a number of round orbs in amongst the trees. Some either on or near the ground, some three or so feet up, and some higher in the trees. They all moved slowly, with slight bobbing motions. It was difficult to estimate how many there were, but our best guess was around twenty. All of the trees were bare, and the lights thru the branches created weird moving shadows on the snow.

As we got closer we called for the dogs, as we didn't know what we were looking at. I had never heard of orbs, nor do I think anyone was reporting seeing them back then. Honestly I can't remember what the reaction of the dogs was - whether they were barking at, ignoring, or exhibiting any other odd behaviour towards the orbs.

We got within 20 yards of the fence. The objects seemed totally oblivious to us. They kept on gently rising up, sinking down, bobbing along just above the tree tops or amongst the branches, and just sitting at various heights. The light they gave off was very bright - almost as bright as a full moon on a clear winter night. It was obvious that the orbs were intelligently controlled as they managed to avoid all contact with the tree branches and each other. I would estimate that they were within an area of a couple of hundred feet along the fence line. None ever came closer to us or seemed to stray too far back from this thin tree line. The field beyond was clearly visible thru the fence / trees.

Two orbs started to rise faster than usual from opposite ends of the fence line. As they passed tree height they suddenly accelerated to a tremendous rate of speed on what looked like a collision course. From our perspective it looked like they barely missed each other. Where their paths crossed the light momentarily flashed much brighter than just double the light. They continued on their individual trajectories until they disappeared from view.

The remainder of the orbs continued to float about. It almost seemed like a ballet with two or three coming close together and then floating apart, others circling each other, etc... Very elegant and controlled. Beautiful to watch. Nothing like balloons caught in the branches. Slow, deliberate movement both horizontal and vertical. Individual orbs would cover the whole 200 feet horizontally and then return to their starting point.

We eventually decided that they must be some type of ufos, but they were all around two to three feet in diameter ( as best as we could tell based on the fence height ), and not the flying discs that we had read about. How could there be anyone / anything small enough to pilot them?

Although my mother and I didn't find the orbs themselves scary, I had read one of the classic ufo books, which talked about flying saucers sucking up animals and taking off. I became concerned that our two dogs were going to be carried off. Looking back, how these 3 foot balls were going to lift an Irish setter and a yellow lab I don't know. Silly.

In total, we watched for around 10 minutes. Occasionally another orb would rise up and quickly disappear. Quickly as in so fast that they created a continuous blur of light. I don't remember any of these high fliers returning.

As we made our way back to the farmhouse we could still see the orbs floating about ( the orbs were behind us ). The dogs must have followed without a fuss or I would remember that.

Once back in the house it sort of sunk in. We weren't freaked out as much as intrigued. Odd I know. We often talked about how oddly calm we were.

We were freezing cold, and not willing to put our skis back on and retrace our steps. Since our farm is on the corner of two roads, we decided to get in our car and see if we could get back close to the location. Unfortunately the sideroad had not been plowed more than a hundred feet or so past the intersection. We never saw the orbs again.

We told the immediate family about what we'd seen over the next few days. None were particularly interested. Over the years I've told a few friends, but beyond that nothing. My mother died at 91 last spring. We compared notes about what we remembered sometime during her last year. Our memories matched almost identically except for one odd point. She remembered the orbs as giving off red light and I remembered the orbs as giving off pure white light. BM

KFC sues Chinese companies over 'eight leg' chicken rumors

KFC chickens are "genetically modified and have six wings and eight legs". The fast food giant say three companies in China have been posting these rumors on social media.

KFC are not happy about this and has filed lawsuits against all of them for their posts on the mobile phone app WeChat. KFC is demanding 1.5 million Yuan (£159,000, $242,000) and an apology from each. The Shanghai Xuhui District People's Court has accepted the case.

With more than 4,600 restaurants in China, KFC is the country's biggest restaurant operator. KFC's China CEO Qu Cuirong said in a statement that it was hard for companies to protect their brands against rumors because of the difficulties in collecting evidence.

"But the stepped-up efforts by the government in recent years to purify the online environment, as well as some judicial interpretations, have offered us confidence and weapons," she said. The companies being sued are Shanxi Weilukuang Technology Company Ltd., Taiyuan Zero Point Technology Company and Yingchenanzhi Success and Culture Communication Ltd.
