i became so close to this woman this entity

the curtain and i just looked at her like oh my gosh but i knew it she wasn't warning me

this time there was a big difference well we all have protectors and you know

from your story she seems to have been a very good protector and she was

she has some empathy for you and uh you kind of went through the same issues she did in a way though

this ephraim who she was married to may have actually been her murderer but we just don't know that

the york courthouse and the historical society and i did as much research on her as i

could because i kept saying who are you who are you who are you but uh when i told my story to the dead

and he said boy you were close it was christiana he's the one who told me the last yeah he's the one who told me the last

how this all began from when you moved into the house and uh you know how things affected you and

and tom and your daughter and uh you know tell it the way you want to tell it well

um tom and i we were both going through divorces and we knew that we wanted to get a

place together and he was working in mccherry's town at

the time and this woman that worked with tom told him that you

must come and see this house well he comes home one night and we've been looking for homes probably for six months

no joke you know just trying to buy you have to be careful when you buy a home you know um just just for all the

factors money everything um and after going through a divorce

we were kind of we were pretty strapped so then what had happened as soon as i saw this house on we pulled up

and tom said don't get excited he says i don't want to live in town

and i want to live on the outskirts i want a little piece of land we're going to go see this house so i can tell

shirley we looked at it it was you know quaint and charming but no

i just i i felt like i walked into the past i felt like i was just

stepped into a home that i grew up in when i was a little girl my mom and dad in kentucky

and uh i was enamored by it i i couldn't stop driving by i used to

work at hanover hospital and um every time when i would get off

from work i would drive by that stinking house go up on the porch look in the window like

oh my gosh i gotta have this house i mean i was and and don't get me wrong

it's adorable i mean it's very charming

but there was nothing about the house that was exceptional right um

i was just lit the only thing i can say is i was i was drawn into it and i started taking pictures of

it and um sending them back to my mom and dad back in kentucky and every time tom and

i went back to the apartment i would say look at this isn't this funny look at this picture what's this big

white glowing what is that what's this big ball and he'd say oh honey it's a light

reflection there's no curtains and i'd go and then i say but what about this black

one look at this black just this black thing coming from the ground shooting up and he'd be like

once again it's hard wood floors it's got to be dust you know and he just

looked at me like i'm like gee you know maybe it's your camera maybe he had

something on your lens and he he's he was really good explaining but it

the haunting when i look back it happened immediately and i did not realize that

at the time i remember when tom and i got the keys in our hand

we had you know the house was ours and we shut the kitchen door

and i was standing in the breezeway and i took a picture like woohoo this is our home you know

new new chapter new beginnings and there was an image

when i you know when we went back to the apartment i was looking at my pictures but there was an image the the door that was in the

breezeway had glass and there was a silhouette of a man standing

on the inside of the kitchen looking at me in the breezeway

no and well it happened just that quick

i i think you you first started to get concerned from what i read in the book is when your cat

started to waste away and uh you know i can understand that

because i have seen pets react to these beings and these energies before oh yes and

uh you know his reaction um and going into the into the the master

bedroom closet didn't surprise me whatsoever and in fact

uh i i you know i don't know exactly why he did it maybe and you did have a

story in there about the boy who had died who had committed suicide was known to torment cats and

maybe that was the reason why uh the cat was uh was frightening oh my gosh yes

well you know one we were told um i had like 50 emails

of locals that the children were about our age at the time whose

grandparents told them that everything was well fishy

about that story there was a really bad rumor

that the boy was being molested by his uncle and in order for this boy

to act out of what was happening to him he we were told that he would just pick

up your local cat or your neighborhood puppy or just whatever and throw it

into his father's burn barrel that was on the property

you know it's interesting you know the neighborhood itself is such a quiet neighborhood

i mean i i lived i was born and raised in hanover uh and you know i moved back here

after my white past and uh you know my son who was used to rick being raised

in the city down in baltimore i mean he he just looks around and thinks how can anything happen in this town

it's just the way it is uh it just seems so quiet but there is an underlining energy

dark energy in that part of town and then there's no doubt about it uh i've had you know i moved back here

in 2016 and i knew about your case and i have

had five hauntings in the past four years that i've investigated within

three blocks of your house wow it's amazing wow yeah

there has got to be and you know that's what i asked amy allen and that's why i was

on this quest i was on this quest like i was going to the historical society here

in hanover i was going to the gun three library i was in the pennsylvania real room

i i mean i just took off i was like i need info i need info i'm

you know i got to look up to previous owners i got to find out who was before the previous owners um

i wonder if it could could have been the land plus the condition

of what had happened in that house or the houses that were before

that house do you think that's possible oh i absolutely believe that's possible

you know you had talked to well you and i had messaged back and forth several years ago

uh oh yeah i think it was about 2015 or so about um about you know you asked about

the history of the area and i was telling you that uh you know of course

the diggs had owned it uh john diggs had owned the uh had owned

that large parcel of property uh back in the 1700s

but you know hanover itself was located in between uh
14:46
philadelphia and baltimore and it was it was what they called a roosting area for

highwaymen and outlaws there was a lot of bad things that happened in this area

a lot of bad things plus wow the susquehanna indians which was a warring tribe

did a lot of raids in in york and adams county uh

during the 16th and early 1700s so there's a lot of history let alone

wow that the civil war battle here as well in in in 1863 the day before gettysburg

so uh there's a lot of history like i said there's a lot of dark

history a lot of death and uh i think the area

i think the ground just holds into it you know the fact of what amy allen said and what john zappa said

didn't surprise me whatsoever uh you know you do get these areas that

that seem to hold on to that energy and i think you kind of got grand central station

you were sitting right in the middle of it uh you know yeah i mean of course and

you did find that story about the woman who had lost her children in the quarry uh that was near there as

well yeah yes lydia's small yeah i've been a lot of death there

really has oh yeah and did you know she retired after they said that

she just basically after losing her children or or whatever the case

was um amy disagreed with that she just found it to be too odd

of the similar situations of their death and because matter of fact i kept seeing

upstairs in the mirror which chip coffee told me that mirrors were what's the word a conduit

of activity onto it yeah um a conduit that um

that i when i was upstairs one night getting ready for for bed i was washing my face upstairs

in the um in the bedroom which by the way was an addict that one of the previous members

who lived in you know who had lived in the house kept their sister who was schizophrenic

upstairs and she lived in the attic [Music] and i i was washing my face and then all

of a sudden i felt like i was just you know in the north pole i just started trembling

all of my goosebumps following my sensories just everything but i couldn't stop staring

at the mirror and then all of a sudden i remember

this image was starting to appear

the longer i stared at the mirror this image of this little dead child of about 17

months old appears in the in the mirror and um

[Music] she has no eyes and her face is like shredded

on one side of her face she's got long curls to about her shoulder and

she's sopping wet and she's got like this little

old-fashioned tea stained dress and [Music]

and when i looked at her she started to scream and when she started to scream

[Music] i just remember almost passing out because it was just

so horrific uh later that's when steve deshavi had

said that one of lydia's children at the age of 15 months old my guest was 17

went um went and fell down that there was a well

and fell down into the well and and and she drowned it's a bizarre story it really is

uh i'm telling you you know the the one thing i found very interesting when the episodes i guess was kind of

the culmination of a lot of things but i i know when your daughter moved in with you

and uh yeah amber and you you you were hesitant about the basement

from the very beginning i know she was as well but

uh you knew something was going in there then when tom and his brother uh
19:48
refurbished the basement into a yes but paneling family room yes and put that
19:55
large closet in there that seemed to set it off it did you're right you're absolutely

tell me uh tell me a bit about what happened with the closet oh my gosh um i had went

um if this is the story that you're referring to is that i okay i'd uh

tom snores really bad so tom and i always slept upstairs

where they made the attic into a loft so what had happened is tom started snoring and i went downstairs

and i slept on the on the first floor as i was just about drifting off to sleep

i started hearing all of these children's toys like

grandbaby toys like you know going off and i said oh my god you know

what is that so i opened up the basement door very reluctantly and i said to myself

it's coming from downstairs so i started i don't know why i did this i

started to go down the steps and i could hear myself breathe i was

shaking so bad like my sensories were going don't do it don't do it and i continued

proceeded to go down the steps i made a right when i got up to the end

of the steps and that's where the portal is in the back room well we do have this big huge closet

that was made into like put your halloween decorations in christmas trees etc so behind this

locked door i could hear all these toys

blowing up well i opened up the door

and i walked into the closet the storage shed closet and when

i walked into the storage dead closet i looked down

and i had a basket of community aid toys that we bought for our grandchildren when they were like one

years old and all of these little pianos are going off and all of these little

you know that game we used to play with the arrow where you'd line it up on the owl and it would say an algos you know

and all of this whole basket of toys were going off and as soon as i realized what was

happening i went to go turn around and the door slammed

and the door locks from the outside there is no inside lock the door locked from the
22:39
outside and i was standing there and i started banging on the door and i started
22:46
screaming and screaming and screaming and

as i turned around the toys had stopped but the

deepest of blackest there's a window that the basement

window that's in that closet you could see just a silhouette of light

but all of a sudden i saw this blackest of black i mean

i can't even describe in depth of just pure black started

caping its way to me as if the room was shrinking

with this blackness as it was coming towards me and i just

started screaming and i just knew i had the worst intense fear i knew it was evil i knew it had bad

intent i was just banging on the door kicking it banging it and finally

i just sat on the ground and i wrapped my arms around my legs and

started saying the lord's prayer and i just i just prayed to god

please please please lord you know and i just started sobbing and as soon

as i did that i remember hearing that door unlock

and it just opened up by itself it just the door just you know you could

hear that and it just opened up and

oh my gosh i just crawled out of there and ran up those steps

well i tell you i i saw the three pictures you sent me

of the portal and there are three subsequent pictures of

this bluish portal opening up and i tell you it's one of the most fantastic pictures of a

portal that i have ever seen now i don't know how many people have seen that picture

but that is a remarkable photograph and of course you've sent me videos of the shadows up

upstairs previous uh you know the amount of activity that had gone on

in that house is remarkable and i mean you had all kinds of crazy sounds

the ice cracking sounds the footsteps on the roof the chanting the screaming even the

the insects from outside gunshots

you know oh my gosh the locust yeah yes locust in hanover i mean a locust swarm

in hanover i don't i have never heard of that before but you had it all around your

house yeah during the daylight when everybody was standing across where the church was

and staring at us and when tom and i we got a text from our next-door neighbor like please come out you're going to want to

see this get the f out now and then we when we were walking

on our front porch they were crunching underneath

our feet amazing there's so many of them lon and then

what about when we very first moved in there i'm sure you've heard this story about it was february when we bought that

house we had an indian summer day and i was out there raking trying to

fluff up the yard get up some of the dead grass you know and then do you know what i'm talking

about and then all of a sudden yes yeah exactly

that elderly lady that was just that she looked like a

hundred years old all humpbacked and in her little handmade floral dress you know with their little

scarf and her you know her granny shoes and and i was like thinking

and then she had a three-legged dog that looked just as old as her

and i was like what yeah what because that house as you know is a
27:10
corner lot it's monroe and it's maple right

did you ever figure out who she was you know what i do not

but let me tell you what there have been other people

investigators we had this team um grip paranormal melissa leeper and

her friends they came to the house look at this diana

um and uh and alice were in the car and they were going to

be late for the investigation and they see this man you know what i'm

talking about they see this man they see this man and you know he's wearing older clothes

he looks you know like maybe he's i shouldn't say homeless but he looks

like he's down on his luck and they come up to him and his head is
28:14
pointing towards the sidewalk and she was like excuse me sir excuse me long beard he's got a hat on

and he's like they're like excuse me sir and he stops doesn't look at him and they're saying

almost 300 maple avenue and he just picks up his head and he

points and he's like over there you know and

and he disappears as they were reaching for their

cigarettes and they're trying to light them and they're calling melissa like we're not coming in

well i don't think we're gonna do this oh my gosh we were just

you know they had the gps phenomena happen too and you know i heard that several times before

where people were trying to find a location especially a cemetery that they were

going to investigate and the gps when they'd get near the gps would go someplace else

yeah that has happened i have read the accounts about that before i you know that that's strange

and the same thing happened to them that wow that's that's interesting

yeah yeah and uh it's kind of like when um nick when katie and nick from

fox 43 news came over and you know she just kind of comes up

and she's all pretty and she's you know and she just i bring the she rings the doorbell and she looks at me

and and and she was just like we're looking for the hanover house

we're looking for deanna simpson i'm like that's me you're here and then right away she was

like oh we just couldn't find you you know we couldn't find your house

and then she just was like come on nick this isn't gonna take long she gives this is mohammed's house it

sure doesn't look on it she goes i tell you what i have a ouija board in my car

i brought it just for this occasion can we go get it diana

and i was like are you freaking kidding me you want it no i'm sorry this is where i draw the line

nick got scratched wasn't long before then katie took it seriously and she was bit and she was slapped

and uh yeah i remember seeing the uh i remember seeing the video in fact

somebody had sent it to me not long after it was aired uh you know i was living down in

baltimore then but they sent it to me and that's when i that's actually when i

first found out about the house because um uh the person who sent it

was living in new york she said he sent it to me and i asked him i said where was this at

he said in hanover and i think oh god okay well you know that's when i first found out about it

so uh yeah that that was interesting you know and another phenomena i thought

was pretty interesting but really interesting was the uh the thing with the elk head you

your husband had a large l kid at least 100 pounds hanging on the wall in his den

and when you and he were down in kentucky and your daughter was home

alone uh this thing was literally lifted off the wall and sat in the middle of the

den and i think tom thought his daughter had actually done that or somebody

had come in and done that he did he did because amber leaped out of bed

it's around 2 50 in the morning 3 o'clock and she called me up

she was frightened to death and she was like mommy somebody's in the
32:44
house or somebody's broke a window or something because that door lawn was locked

because tom had guns in there in crepes that were locked up and he had said

this room's off limit amber i'm walking this you know and but the key was above the door you

know the old doors and um when she she was on the phone and

i said don't look around she grabs a knife and she says i'm gonna look around the house

while you're on the phone and i said no no leave go to your father's call your dad call

the you know don't even don't even call the police just get in your car you know take off you know

they can have whatever they want because all i cared about was amber and sure enough she says mom

she says i'm hearing a noise in tom's ben and yes would you believe that elkhead had a double lock on it

his brother who's a contractor who hung all of his mounts hung that up

and it fell off two other times since yeah i know it happened again yeah just

like it was lifted off yeah yeah and uh

matter of fact it always happened around september and after doing my research we did find out

that a previous owner who had lived in the house who had remained there um

[Music] that it it always kind of coincidentally hung you know

came off around that death date and you know what ron i did want to ask

you this do you find it a coincidence or

interesting or do you see a pattern that the last two male owners that lived in there now i'm

not including tom previous owners of the house

we were told by the locals that had known them

that they were both the same meaning okay they were both kind of arrogant

they were both alcoholics they were both you could both hear the fighting

from the other neighbors um [Music] both of them kind of fell into the same

pattern do you think that a house if you weren't strong enough to combat

this or or try to be aware of your of what is happening that you could fall

into a a slump like amityville remember george he started

all of a sudden he was happy and then you can see what i'm saying like depression alcoholism yeah i think the malevolence

in the house affected glenn parker and sylvester ackerman i i really do

i believe um and i you know that's not uncommon in situations like that um

okay yeah um you know the activity is almost like poltergeist activity but

it really isn't it's just a high degree of malevolence that just drains people to the point

where it affects them and just they just go downhill

and i'm quite sure if you and tom would have stayed there eventually had done the same to you i

really do it it was it was doing that to me i got to the point to where

um i just didn't care i was falling into such a depression and

tom and i were arguing and then it started to pull us apart like i wasn't sharing with him

anymore of the occurrences that were happening and we were always fighting and you'd be

like let me guess thee just another and i'd be like whatever tom you know da da

and i when i would leave work i didn't want to go home but

yet when i was at home i didn't want to leave either i just came like a couch potato and just

i didn't care about myself yeah i didn't yeah oh that's that's common that really is

common and uh okay uh you know you endured it for a long time i mean

oh my god i did it's it's a miracle i believe that you got

out in one piece honestly oh well you know the godfather

told me he warned me he said if you don't get out yeah this is going to kill you you've

got to get out well you know there's another situation a little bit earlier that i

thought was kind of interesting and in a way it was kind of comical to me because i've been through this situation

was the pastor across the street who came over who who was actually postponing coming and

doing a blessing to the house and finally came with an entourage

and accused tom of being blasphemers oh my

gosh lon what about that she came over she would not come over unless she had

six of her deacons she was supposed to bless that house they never made it out of our family

room and then here we're taking the sweetest person the nicest person you'd ever meet right

but the moment she stepped in that house i was just waiting for her head to start spinning because she

looked at tom and i and she was like you fornication you guys are

of what happened uh it's almost like this this entity

it's very strange the way she changed all of a sudden yeah quickly i you know i had told you

before well i told you before the show that i i knew this this church across street me was a

brother in church and uh i had talked to one of the guys who worked for the original contractors

who built that church because it's fairly new church it's not that old and they had when they were building it

they had tools and equipment go missing all the time even when they had wow hurting it

uh and you know that was way before you moved in but you know there's indication that

stuff was going on before that now i don't know some of the other stories you know i i've always felt that he

wasn't telling me everything but i thought that was interesting and then when i read it in the book

about the pastor coming over there and it was kind of because the reason made me laugh in a way it was

i had been involved with hauntings where a priest or a pastor would come into the house

and literally run out the door oh my god they were so scared yeah

wow yeah that i've seen that happen i really haven't and in fact it happened

to a client i had here in town uh on the other side of town because

there was a haunting i had there and i she asked me this it was during christmas and she had asked me to stay

there until the her pastor got there and when he got there he he he looked like he was gonna blow

up and he ran out the door didn't give any reason as to why or what was going on

and my son and i are standing there and we're looking at each other like what the hell happened to this guy and

this woman had no idea what to think and you know yeah the house wasn't that

remarkable i mean they had some things moving about and uh you know a few other they had

shadow people sightings and such but i mean this this pastor just went off

and then the fact that this happened to you

i was waking up i wasn't able to sleep i was having just chronic nightmares i had to go on

medication like it was just so bad and um and johnny was like oh no for the you

know for the real serious hauntings

you know like your case is you know a example of that he says oh no my dear

friend as johnny would say he said uh it's very normal but what's going to be

abnormal is you trying to find a counselor that is going to understand you

in and what you're trying to explain to him coming off looking like you're in the

deep end right and you know i did i i had to go into

counseling because i just could not handle the aftermath

of like i was living in fear is it going to happen again um did i make another bad decision with the

house or you know i just went on have you have you heard of people

getting counseling after uh yeah it very rarely works

be honest with you no yeah okay i think i think i think most people most people

who go through this type of thing you know the counseling it may be a stop gap but

i think they really need to do it on their own

it's almost like poltergeist haunting you know it's not like somebody can come there

and move something on because it's a self-manifested entity uh i i believe

people that have what you had need to face what's going on themselves

especially since you're a beacon or what your grandmother used to call a shot the shot you had to say yeah

dreamt the two men at times you also had the dream of the 11 hooded

uh yeah in the hebrew faith it's uh the angel who persecute persecutes evil

as well as tempting that dissect that what does that mean dissect that for me well what does that

he carries out punishments for god as well as tempting humans and testing their faith but i think

and this thing attacked you on the steps of course that's what that was yes and uh

happened is one night tom was just we were both sitting in the family room and i said hey

go up the steps and to go upstairs and as i was walking up the steps

it started feeling heavy started feeling thick and i looked up

and i saw my cat and i was just like hey beanie weenie and i

was like on the eighth step well all of a sudden she just started doing this hissing

and she just scattered off but then when i looked up i looked over in the corner

of the bedroom and this image of like an octopus tree thing

with tentacles started coming out of the wall and now there is 14 steps up

or 13 steps up to the bedroom i was on the 8th and i looked at it and i just froze i

mean i i mean to tell you i couldn't move most people would be like why didn't you turn around and run i just couldn't i couldn't and

um then all of a sudden as i watched it getting closer to me these arms

that came out that almost look like tree branches with long

long fingernails and these glowing eyes

almost like glowing reptilian glowing it was it was hard but you didn't want to look

at it all i know is when it came it came it happened real fast talk about it slow but it happened

real fast and it smacked me in my shoulders with both of its arms

hands whatever they were and i literally levitated

i hit the wall slid down the wall hit hit the tile and then the

it was the attic door remember the upstairs bedroom was in you know was an attic so then the door

slammed open and as i leant over i was being pulled

from my hair and my hair i was just drug across the

i couldn't breathe it was kind of like you were a child on a swing set and you just fell off and then the winds knocked out of you and i just

laid there lifeless and tom comes running into the kitchen like

what the hell diana and he looked down and he saw me there and all of a sudden he came over and

when he came over he grabbed me and and i just started

like just like breathing like i just came out a pool of water and um i just started screaming and

he's he he tried to move me and i said don't move me don't move me and i just started screaming and he caught he says

what the hell happened and i i was just screaming and sobbing and he says i'm calling the

paramedics and i said no i laid there for about 30 minutes i couldn't even get up and then when i did

um i refused to to go to the hospital i just refused um tom uh we went on the first floor

bedroom we just laid there i whimpered until i was just until i fell asleep and

passed out the next day i went in to see my family bought doctor they took a

x-ray and i had an x-ray i'm sorry and i had a hairline fracture of my

tailbone where i hit the floor the bottom of the

step so hard that it actually gave me a hairline fracture

you know um yeah i have run across this mess steamer once before

in a case i had nine years ago i had a little knowledge of it and i was kind of surprised to see it in

the book um but he did one thing that did not surprise me

was the night you woke up and saw your recently deceased father in

the chair and then when you got up to go towards him mastima shape-shifted back

no and you know what have you ever heard of a shape sister a shape shifter yeah yes

somebody was saying oh well that's what you got that's what you got in the house and i was you know and i had to look that up to

these things do it's not more as a shape-shifter it's more of a mimic it's able to mimic

it it's terrible i i've heard a lot of horror stories you know when it comes to these

mimicking entities and uh well you know some of the more famous cases have

have had that you know your case uh a lot of way mirrors the entity case

some of the sightings and some of uh some of the photographs and the streaks and really heard of it yeah you need to read

about that uh there's a there's a good pair there's a parallel there for what happened to you uh you know it's a very famous case

it she was going to but she got sick yeah she got sick but uh she was

introduced yeah she was very intrigued with what was going on

and uh oh yeah she came back a couple times actually and she told me she talked to you oh yeah she said i

talked to my good friend lon and she says yes she told me about that she was talking to you and

she she came out to the house probably at least three times is that she spent the night

i didn't know that i didn't know she had been there many times yeah i know she was very interested in it her and i talked about it a bit

and uh you know she uh you know a lot of what john said uh

what was going on she had the same impression i mean you know um she just you know

i think she really did want to write about it but unfortunately things happen yeah
