Daily 2 Cents: Voices Downstairs and a Ghost Cat -- Family Abduction 'Dream' -- Virtual Death Ride

Voices Downstairs and a Ghost Cat

Sean in Chanhassen, Minnesota called in to talk about something he and his daughter saw while living in a rental unit:

“I think it was after 2008 when the housing dilemma hit and I lost my house. I was forced to move into a rental out on my own. My daughter would come and live... I think we lived there for about a year and a half. My daughter would keep coming in and saying, dad, I saw a cat. Where she lived, it was in the living-room and she would stay up late watching television and she'd come and wake me up and tell me there's a cat in the living-room and it walked into the kitchen and she followed it there and it disappeared. So I'd get up and go and I'd check the kitchen out. The doors were closed so I said, you know, maybe you were imagining it, I don't know. And when we finally moved out, the day we moved out, I hadn't seen anything but I had heard voices in the house. I'd wake up probably midnight or 1 o'clock in the morning and I'd hear somebody downstairs talking and I'd walk downstairs and there was nobody there but there were houses nearby so I figured it was what I was hearing but it didn't sound close. It sounded inside and I was positive it was inside but I just wanted to write it off. So the day we move out, I'm going in for the very last box. It was about noon. There was sun shining through a window and I saw a cat walk through a door – a closed door and sit down where the ray of sunshine was and it looked up... it just sat there and it looked up at me, right into my eyes and just faded from view. So I called out the open door. I was gonna walk out. I said, 'Hey, Em, come in here.' So she walks in and she's like, 'Yeah, what dad?' I said, 'Yup, you weren't kidding, I just saw your cat.' She was like, 'Yeah, I told you I wasn't imagining it.' I was like, I guess you were right.' The weird part is that she had just had a cat, just prior to moving in, it had died. But she told me that it looked like her but it didn't really look like her and I had to agree once I saw the cat. I don't think it was her cat. It definitely looked like it but it wasn't it. It was a little weird.”

Disneyland worker found dead in haunted house

Police are investigating after a member of staff at Disneyland Paris was reportedly found dead in the theme park's haunted house.

The 45-year-old technician is thought to have been electrocuted in the Phantom Manor on Saturday morning between 8am and 9am, just before the park opened to the public.

The employee is believed to have been working on lighting at the attraction, which was immediately closed.

The ride features zombies, a ghostly dog and a skeletal bride and promises to turn visitors' stomachs with a series of "ghastly goings-on".

A spokesman for the prosecutor in Meaux said an initial examination had suggested "accidental death by electrocution" was the cause of death.

A post-mortem examination has been ordered, while police and electrics experts are helping police, who have interviewed colleagues who found the man's body.

The technician, who has not been named, was a father from Noisy-le-Grand, to the east of Paris, and had reportedly worked in the park since 2002.

Patrick Maldidier, a Disneyland union rep, told French newspaper Le Parisien he was very popular and "was someone who always had a smile on his face".

A Disneyland Paris spokesman told the paper everyone at the park was "deeply saddened" and sent their thoughts to the victim's family and friends.

The park said it would make no further statements until the investigation into the man's death has finished.

Disneyland Paris is staying open, although Phantom Manor is expected to be closed until at least Wednesday while police from nearby Chessy investigate.

The park had 14.2 million visitors in 2014, many of them from the UK - but has seen accidents in the past.

Five people were injured on the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in 2011 and a five-year-old boy ended up in intensive care after falling from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in 2013.

In 2010, a cleaner died after getting trapped under a boat on the It's a Small World ride. - Disneyland worker found dead in haunted house

Family Abduction 'Dream'

THE FOLLOWING TOOK PLACE MAY 19 3.15 AM WEST OLIVE, MI. - I woke up walking back from somewhere in the woods surrounding our house. In the morning I somewhat remembered the experience and dismissed it as a dream. I got up that morning feeling well rested yet a little bit off. Anyway, I as getting ready for school when I overheard my father telling my mom about the very same dream I had. And when he finished telling her, she gasped and proclaimed too have had the same dream. A couple of days later I noticed a scar on my right side with a black sliver type object in it, which vanished sometime in my early forties about ten years ago, yet the scar remains. I also woke up many times outside the house with no recollection of how I got there. This also stopped happening when the black sliver vanished. I have nothing to gain from my story and only wished I would have shared it while my parents were around because I know it bothered them both until the day of their passing. - MUFON CMS

Virtual Death Ride

The Window of the World amusement park in Shenzhen, China has set up a rather unusual attraction.

Visitors looking to experience what it is like to be cremated can now choose to participate in the park's 'death simulator' - a bizarre ride devised by two Chinese philanthropists.

Those who take part are placed inside a coffin and wheeled in to a mock-up cremation chamber where they are subjected to blasts of heat and a light show designed to simulate a fire.

Once this is over the image of a womb is projected on to the ceiling and the participants must crawl through a tunnel until they emerge outside - a representation of being reborn.

The bizarre attraction was funded by China's answer to the crowdfunding website Kickstarter.

"It at least gives you the chance to calm down, and brings you back to earth to think about some of life's problems," said one visitor. "When you walk through that door, you will experience some changes in your mentality, and it will be different from what it was before you entered."

"I think this is really great, and very worthwhile." Read more at Virtual Cremation Offers Death 'Experience'
