I received the following account:
"Hi. I have an encounter I want to tell you about from 2007. It was the 4th of July, and I was at my father-in-law's house in Abilene, Texas. Everyone went into the house while Sid and I, my father-in-law, stood outside in the yard cooking something. As I talked to him, I looked down the road and saw something running down the middle of the street, coming around the corner. It just stayed right in the middle of the road. It's very unusual for someone to be running down the middle of the street like that.
So, I stood there talking to my father-in-law, and it started getting closer. Every time I looked up, it became clearer to me, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. When it got near my father-in-law's fence, the dogs started chasing it, barking at it. Then my father-in-law looked up and saw it. He looked at me, and I looked at him, and at the same time, we said: 'Did you see that?' It was wearing a helmet, like a space helmet, and it was dressed in a cobalt glass-looking material because you could see through it. You could see it had a shirt and pants on—it had a human form.
Then it got down by our cars and truck, and I looked to the other side, and it never came out on the other side. I said, 'It never did come out on the other side,' and my father said, 'Go look!' I stood in the yard and said 'Hello,' and it responded back to me, but I can't remember what it said. It wasn't something I could understand; it was some sort of different language or something. My father kept saying, 'Go on out there! Go on out there!' So, I looked underneath the car. I wouldn't go in the back not knowing what the thing was, so I started looking under the car for extra legs or something. But I didn't see anything on the other side, so I walked around the corner, and there was nothing there. I walked all the way around the car, and there was nothing there. My father-in-law asked, 'Did you see it come around?' and I said, 'No.' It just disappeared." S
