Daily 2 Cents: Alien Skull Found? -- Your House May Be Haunted -- Tasmanian Devil-Like Creature in Minnesota

Alien Skull Found?

The strange skeleton head, described as 50 per cent bigger than a standard sized version, was found by Danish contractors replacing old sewage pipes workers on Sealand Island.

The workers were digging out the 100-year-old pipes when they found the skull under a building that once belonged to a butcher, it is alleged.

Experts at a Veterinary College in Copenhagen, who examined the find, concluded: “Although resembling a mammal, certain features make it impossible to fit the animal into Linnaean taxonomy.”

The scientists could not link it to any known species on Earth.

Subsequent carbon dating of the skull at the University of Copenhagen's Niels Bohr Institute for the sciences, determined it was about 800 years old - which only added to the mystery as it was found within pipes of just a century old.

The skull was found in 2007 but it was not looked at by scientists until 2010.

Further excavation of the area found only animal bones, stone axes, and equipment from the Neolithic period - nothing else that could be linked to the skull. Read more at The mysterious huge-eyed skull believed to have 'belonged to an alien'

Missing Pictures

Mark in Baltimore called in to tell of something bizarre that happened in the neighbourhood he lived in after a sighting of a UFO:

“I was age ten. I used to travel some distance to get home from school that day. I was taking photography at the time so I always had an Instamatic camera in my back pack. As I approached my house, I kind of stuttered in my steps. I looked up and a giant horizontal multi-layered ferris wheel hovered over the treeline. Estimated size, about the size of a football field. Estimated distance, about a half a mile. To my west, the whole neighborhood saw it. The whole neighborhood took pictures of it with their camera. And also... so everybody took their film to the local drugstore and, you know, the guy said to me, the developer said to me: Those were nice pictures you took of a treeline. How come you took the same picture six times? I said, what are you talking about? He said, I don't know, look at them. They came out of the envelope like this? Something wrong? Do you want your money back? I said, I'll just look at them. Anyway, everything was here except the object that I took a picture of. The neighbors, they said the same thing. But we lived in a very christocratic neighborhood. Upper middle class. Doctors. Lawyers Etc. Etc. They were told... our parents and the other parents were told, do not discuss this with anybody else... This was fifteen years... this phenomena, in other words... I took a picture of it but I know I saw because it was there for like 30 seconds but then when I went to get the film developed, everything was there except the object.”

Your House May Be Haunted

Flickering lights? Mysterious night wakings? Sudden chills? You might be sharing your house with a spirit.

1.You spot an infinity number

Do you often notice the same time on a clock? If it’s an “infinity number” – 11.11am for example – it could be a sign a lost loved one is trying to let you know they’re watching over you.

2.A smell that doesn’t belong

Suddenly smell your grandmother’s apple pie when she’s been dead for five years? A whiff of cigarette smoke when no one in your house smokes? Unexplained scents that don’t belong are another sign a spirit is trying to make its presence known. This is another common way departed loved ones make their presence known.

3.Unexplained plumbing or electrical problems

Flickering lights, slamming doors and taps that turn on and off are all signs of a mischievous spirit, and not always a friendly one. While ghosts of family members will never try to scare you, those who use these types of tricks are often trying to tell you that you don’t belong in the house. These spirits often have a connection to the home and believe they are its only rightful inhabitants – and want you to know you’re not welcome. This type of activity is particularly common when renovations are underway.

4.You repeatedly wake up at the same ungodly hour

Do you repeatedly wake up at 3.17am? Psychics say the “veil” between our world and the spirit world is at its thinnest during the “witching hour” between 3am and 5am, with most ghostly awakenings happening between 3.15am and 3.30am. This is also the most common time for ghosts to come to you in dreams.

5.Your house has unexplained temperature changes

A sudden chill breeze sending shivers up your spine on an otherwise balmy evening? Sudden and unexplained temperature changes can be another sign your house is haunted. You might also feeling like someone is standing right behind you or get the feeling you’re being watched. Changes in the feeling of the air could also be a sign a spirit is present, with people reporting air suddenly feeling denser, or making them feel anxious for no reason.

John from Minnesota called in to tell of his bizarre creature sighting:

“About 15 years ago I seen this strange animal chase my cat up a tree. It was this black, hideous thing and a few years ago I seen a picture and it kinda looked like a Tasmanian Devil. But, what would a... this thing looked like a half or a cross breed or something. I didn't know what the heck and I've never seen one before.”
