Transparent 'Black Creature' Observed
Nick from the Midwest called in to tell of a strange creature sighting he had:
“I was driving and I had a girl I was dating. I was picking her up from her house. It was night-time. This was way out in New Mexico so there's like a hotbed of creatures and stuff there as well. So we're driving down the road and you know how sometimes, a deer will jump out in front of your car. I saw a what I thought was deer or something coming from the side of the road. I would never ever ever think this would happen but it jumped in front of the car and I hit the brakes. And it's night-time, so I have the headlights on. So we both leaned forward to look at it because at first I said, “Oh, that's a deer.' Then I thought it was a dog. It gets within five feet of the headlights and I'm almost stopped. The thing was a black, transparent – the headlights went through it – and it looked like the size of a large dog or a small bear, and the back-end of it was higher than the front. The lights went through it so it was kind of in this realm and kind of not. You could see the road and you could tell where the car was like it knew we was there. I think it purposely jumped in front of the headlights but, I don't know... We both saw this thing. I looked at the girl and, the girl said, 'Did you just see that?' And I said, 'Yeah, I don't know, I’ve never seen anything like that.' And, later on, I watched Constantine with Keanu Reeves. It looked exactly like what they have in that movie what they called Soldier. They had smaller front legs, but the back legs, when they walked on four legs like a dog. In the movie, they had skin but this thing that I saw, it was totally black but it had that shape to it to it. Like it had a small head, like a little head and like a larger body than it's head but back a bit. Like exactly like that movie. That thing in that movie wasn't just someone's imagination, those things exist... What was it doing? I mean, it was out in the middle of nowhere. There were houses and people around but I don't know...”

Declassified FBI Memo: Flying Saucers Found With 9 Aliens Inside?
The FBI opened “The Vault“—a library of documents released to the public through the Freedom of Information Act—in 2011. In the following two years, a particular document now known as the “Hottel Memo” received nearly a million views.
It was written on March 22, 1950, by Guy Hottel, then head of the FBI field office in Washington, D.C. It states:
“An investigator for the Air Forces stated that three so-called flying saucers had been recovered in New Mexico. They were described as being circular in shape with raised centers, approximately 50 feet in diameter. Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only three feet tall, dressed in metallic cloth of a very fine texture. Each body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits used by speed fliers and test pilots.”

In 2013, the FBI made a public statement on the memo, since it had received widespread attention.
Some people had connected the memo to the alleged conspiracy to cover up a UFO crash in Roswell, New Mexico. The FBI stated, “The Hottel memo is dated nearly three years after the infamous events in Roswell in July 1947. There is no reason to believe the two are connected.”

Are These Yeti Prints?
Steve Berry encountered a mysterious set of single-file tracks on a steep mountain slope in Bhutan.
The 66-year-old had been trekking along a remote pass in the Himalayan Mountains when he came across the trail which was situated only yards away from an impassable chasm.
"The local people said we were the first to ever set foot on that pass," he said. "I had always thought that stories about the yeti were a bit of old bunkum. But there is no denying these tracks existed."
"The prints were clearly visible with the naked eye from where we were standing on a pass at 17,800ft. There was a vertical drop in front of us, not to mention a very serious mountainside to cross, so we could not get to them."
Not everyone is convinced however that the prints represent evidence of the Abominable Snowman.
Cryptozoologist Jon Downes, director of the Center for Fortean Zoology, believes that the tracks in the picture are more likely to be those of a mountain goat than a large hominid.
"I think that the chances of these prints being from anything more interesting are negligible and it is certainly not a bipedal higher primate," he said. "The center of gravity for such an animal would mean it just wouldn’t be able to venture up a mountain like that." Read more at Are these the footprints of the yeti? NASA's New Planetary Defense Office Gets to Work Protecting Earth
A new NASA organization dedicated to protecting Earth from dangerous asteroids has hit the ground running.
In early January, NASA announced the establishment of a Planetary Defense Coordination Office (PDCO), which will synchronize U.S. efforts to deal with threatening near-Earth objects (NEOs) and will supervise all NASA-funded projects to find and characterize asteroids and comets that visit Earth's neighborhood.
"There is no identified threat that we know of right now," said Lindley Johnson, NASA's new planetary defense officer.
"Our job is to look for that and identify a NEO as far in advance as we can," Johnson told Space.com in an exclusive interview. "Doing so means we have the maximum amount of time to appropriately deal with the object, be it a small impactor or something that's larger, calling for a kinetic impactor mission, or whatever needs to be done."
