Possible Abduction During Deer Hunt

Warren, IL - 10/1988: This incident happened over 20 years ago and has seemed to only come back to me over time. For years I thought it was a vivid dream but now I am wondering if this really happened to me and it was blocked from my memory when it happened.

My father and I were deer hunting with bow & arrow on the border of Illinois and Wisconsin near Jo Daviess County, Illinois. My age was approximately 14 - 15 at the time of this event. I had a deer come under my tree stand and took a shot. I waited for my father to return to my tree stand as he was about a mile away in his own tree stand. This was well after dark. I told him that I took a shot and we proceeded to follow the blood trail together. As we were walking through the field following the trail. I observed a violet light hovering over the tree line going from left to right. I told my father and he didn't pay much attention because he was following the blood trail and told me to quit messing around. I shined my flashlight at the light and it darted off toward the woods very fast. After some time the trail stopped and my father said we would resume search in the morning but he though I probably had a brisket shot to low and wasn't going to get the deer. That night we ate dinner cooked by the Coleman stove and got ready for bed in the back of his old 1973 Chevy pickup. It had a metal cab on the back and I remember windows on the side and in the back. My dad snored loud and I remember him snoring that night. As I was laying in the back of the truck at some point of the night or early morning. I remember having a frightening feeling that someone was watching me to the point I didn't want to open my eyes. I did and through the side window saw what I think was the big eyed big head grey looking back at me. I closed my eyes again and heard what was like a mechanical voice telling me "We are not going to hurt you" then something made me open the back window of the truck cab and get out. When I did I observed three short and two taller big head big eyed aliens and a disc shaped craft landed in the field about 200 feet from the truck. I remember the little ones touching my fingers and leading me toward the craft and saying "Do not be scared" in a mechanical voice that seemed to be in my head. That is all I remember. I woke up in the back of the truck and thinking boy was that a vivid scary dream and it has bothered me since it happened. To this day when I see a image on TV or other of a Big Head Big Eyed Grey Alien it sends chills down my spine! - MUFON CMS

'Psychic fortune-teller' cheats local woman of $77,000, fails to foresee arrest

A self-described psychic telling fortunes in New York City apparently failed to foresee her arrest on a warrant from Rockville, Maryland, charging her with fraud. Erica Ufie, 35, was arrested on Friday near “Sunnyside Psychic” parlour in Queens, where she worked. She will face an extradition hearing in New York, according to Rockville Police Lt. Brian Paul.

Ufie was tracked down by a private investigator hired by a 53-year-old Rockville woman, who accuses the fortune-teller of defrauding her of more than $77,000. “I sent in an operative into the location to verify she was there,” says Bob Nygaard, a private investigator who specialises in the identification and apprehension of fortune-tellers who engage in fraud. Convinced that the person inside the Queens psychic parlour was Ufie, the woman for whom he’d been searching for seven months, Nygaard tailed her to a nearby dollar store and then called police.

“To be honest, the New York City Police Department - I had a rough time getting them to make the arrest,” Nygaard says, adding that he remained in phone contact with Rockville police while keeping Ufie under surveillance. Eventually, Ufie was taken into custody inside a 99 Cents Paradise store in Queens. Nygaard recorded the arrest. “You go in to do some shopping and you come out with silver bracelets from the NYPD on your wrists. It’s not paradise,” says Nygaard.

Nygaard says fraudulent fortune-telling is a growing problem nationwide. “It’s an epidemic all across this country,” Nygaard says. “People are being emotionally abused and financially decimated at alarming rates, and the loss is astronomical.” Nygaard, a retired police officer and member of the National Association of Bunco Investigators, says he’s worked on cases with fortune-tellers accused of defrauding someone as much as $900,000, and he was familiar with a Florida case in which a woman claimed to have been defrauded of $15 million by fortune-tellers. - Police: Psychic cheats local woman of $77,000, fails to foresee arrest

Rare albino dolphin calf spotted in Monterey Bay

MONTEREY, Calif. —A rare albino Risso's calf was spotted swimming with its mother in Monterey Bay last week.

The dolphin calf was last spotted in January.

Risso's dolphins, also known as Grampus, are one of the larger members of the dolphin family.

They are usually an offshore dolphin, whose inshore appearance is uncommon.

In numerous instances though, groups have moved into inshore areas where they have been seen.

Risso's dolphins typically travel side by side, and are fairly active. Leaping, spy hopping, fluke slapping, and flipper slapping are common.

They are long-lived animals that live an estimated 20 years minimum and possibly up to twice that long.

Planting Trees With Drones

A new UK-based startup company has an ambitious plan to automate the process of planting trees.

BioCarbon Engineering believes that unmanned aerial vehicles can provide an effective solution to the problem of planting trees over large areas that have been ravaged by deforestation.

The system they have come up with first involves using fixed-wing drones to fly across and analyze the topography and biodiversity of an area to best determine where the new trees should go.

A second multi-rotor drone equipped with a special seed-planting 'gun' then flies over the region, firing seed pods as it goes as part of what has been described as a "precision planting platform."

The BioCarbon team presented the concept at the United Nations Headquarters in New York last week as one of fourteen winning startups invited to the 'Solutions Summit' conference which aims to bring together innovators to help achieve environmental sustainability goals over the next 70 years.

Florida candidate for U.S. Senate admits to sacrificing goat, drinking its blood

Two years ago, Augustus Sol Invictus walked from central Florida to the Mojave Desert and spent a week fasting and praying, at times thinking he wouldn't survive. In a pagan ritual to give thanks when he returned home, he killed a goat and drank its blood.

Now that he's a candidate for U.S. Senate, the story is coming back to bite him.

The chairman of the Libertarian Party of Florida has resigned to call attention to Invictus' candidacy in hopes that other party leaders will denounce him. Adrian Wyllie, who was the Libertarian candidate for governor last year, says Invictus wants to lead a civil war, is trying to recruit neo-Nazis to the party and brutally and sadistically dismembered a goat.

It's an awkward situation for the small party that's trying to gain clout.

"He is the absolute exact opposite of a Libertarian. He's a self-proclaimed fascist. He's promoting a second civil war," Wyllie said. "It's absolute insanity. We must explain to people this is the opposite of Libertarians. This guy has no place in the Libertarian Party."

Invictus, a 32-year-old lawyer who changed his given name — which he declines to reveal — to a Latin phrase that means "majestic unconquered sun," says Wyllie is just running a smear campaign and is twisting his words into lies. No, he says, he's not a white supremacist, pointing out his four children are Hispanic — though he acknowledges that some white supremacists support his campaign. No, he says he isn't trying to start a civil war, but he says the government already is at war with its citizens and that it's certain to escalate.

"The only question is when are the citizens going to start fighting back?" he said in a phone interview Friday. "I don't think I'm the only person who sees a cataclysm coming, but I think I'm the only person saying it, and I think that scares people."

Sacrifice? Yes. Brutal and sadistic? Not according to Invictus.

"I did sacrifice a goat. I know that's probably a quibble in the mind of most Americans," he said. "I sacrificed an animal to the god of the wilderness ... Yes, I drank the goat's blood."

He admits he's been investigated by the FBI, the U.S. Marshals and other law enforcement. He is confident they're still watching him, in part for a series of YouTube videos and other writings in which he discusses government. He renounced his citizenship in one paper, and in another he prophesied a great war, saying he would wander into the wilderness and return bearing revolution.

"I guess it makes me feel flattered that they think I am a threat to the stability of the system. It makes me think one man can make a difference," Invictus said.

He insists, though, that he doesn't advocate violence.

"You do not initiate force," he said. "If the government is waging war on citizens, we as citizens have the right to self-defense on government."

Invictus knows running as a Libertarian is a longshot — Wyllie was easily Florida's most well-received Libertarian candidate and he only received 3.8 percent of the vote — and he acknowledges that being a pagan will hurt him with an electorate that tends to support Christians. But he said he is running with the hope of speaking on the Senate floor.

"If not elected, I still think there is a purpose for all of this and that is to get a message out there, waking them up," he said. "They are the ones that control the government and not the other way around." - Florida candidate for U.S. Senate admits to sacrificing goat, drinking its blood
