'Beautiful Young Vampires' Encourage Occult Interests

I found this article somewhat contradictory...that the Roman Catholic Church blames entertainment for increased occult activity when, in fact, forces within the Church cause more evil and moral destruction than any so-called 'demons':

The proliferation of “beautiful young vampires” in TV series and Hollywood films including True Blood and the Twilight movies is encouraging young people to dabble with occult forces, a leading authority on demonic possession has warned a Vatican-backed exorcism course.

“There are those who try to turn people into vampires and make them drink other people’s blood, or encourage them to have special sexual relations to obtain special powers,” said Professor Giuseppe Ferrari at the meeting in Rome, which heard that the number of such possessions is rising globally. “These groups are attracted by the so-called beautiful young vampires that we’ve seen so much of in recent years.”

Professor Ferrari, who heads an Italian occult watchdog, The Group on Research and Socio-Religious Information, said exorcisms should only be conducted by properly trained priests. Although the Vatican regards genuine demonic possession as rare, with many suspected cases proving to be people with mental illnesses, Pope Francis has urged dioceses to ensure that they follow Catholic law and have at least one trained exorcist each.

Swiss exorcist Father Cesare Truqui told The Independent that this week’s course, attended by exorcists, priests and lay people, was vital in order to raise awareness and hone priests’ skills in fighting evil. “The ministry of performing exorcism is little known among priests. It’s like training to be a journalist without knowing how to do an interview,” he said, noting that dioceses in Italy and beyond were experiencing a surge in reports of symptoms of possession.

In 2012 it emerged that the diocese of Milan, the biggest in the world, had installed an exorcism hotline to cope with demand. Monsignor Angelo Mascheroni, Milan’s chief exorcist, said that his diocese had doubled the number of exorcists from six to 12 to cope with the 100 per cent rise in the number of requests for help over the last 15 years.

“That has to tell us something,” said Father Cesare. He claims to have seen possessed people speaking in tongues and exhibiting unearthly strength, including one “small woman, who could not be pinned down by three strong men”.

Father Cesare is a protégé of Father Gabriele Amorth, the Vatican’s chief exorcist for 25 years, who claims to have dealt with 70,000 cases of demonic possession. Father Amorth said that sex abuse scandals in the Roman Catholic Church were proof that “the Devil is at work inside the Vatican”. He took a similarly dim view of fantasy novels and yoga. Practising the latter, he once warned, was “satanic; it leads to evil just like reading Harry Potter”.

Gay rights and IVF fertility treatment were listed as signs of existential evil in society by Monsignor Luigi Negri, the Archbishop of Ferrara-Comacchio. “There’s homosexual marriage, homosexual adoption, IVF and a host of other things. There’s the clamorous appearance of the negation of man as defined by the Bible,” he declared. Read more at Exorcists warn Vatican over 'beautiful young vampires' and satanic yoga

"If it weren't for Christians, I'd be a Christian." - Mahatma Ghandi

NOTE: I'm fascinated by the moral positions taken by the Roman Catholic Church and other Christian factions throughout history. In their belief, it's never the religious dogma that facilitate the problems. It's usually the same story with other sects and creeds...all in the name of ethics, morality and faith. Exorcising 'demons' should begin where it originated. Evil is matter where it dwells. Lon

  1. If everyone had equal rights as they should then the most spiritual religious folk would have no one to subject and demoralize, project sins onto, ridicule and try to conquer and destroy.
They say that good cannot exist without "evil" to test them, as their god allegedly made "evil" so that "evil" can be contrarily used and punished without the false benefit of free will, according to the "great plan".
I see exorcisms as cast-off living body parts that are mostly only aware of what an oppressed conscious brain thought from limited teaching, if it believed in a god or angels or a power of church (that in my opinion is just a group of nasty people playing that chair game of Musical Deviant) and the authority it assumes as it deficiently mucks up reality.
Turning those psychological inner demons into a manifestation implies the reality that, for all their lofty training, exorcists and their employers do not know what they're doing.

  2. I am not a Catholic but you must remember this:
The word "decadence" comes from the word

Every civilization that ever embraced decadence decayed and collapsed-
    no exceptions.

    Whether someone is a believer
    or an unbeliever,
that history cannot reasonably be disputed.

Only circular sophmoric assertions can made against it.

    Global society faces serious problems-
all entertainment that glamorizes evil will only feed those problems.

We can argue about the definition of evil,
the relevancy of vampires, etc. but I will only ask you this-
Is there anything that is too evil for hollywood to NOT try to turn into entertainment?

    Are there any limits anymore?

where does that place us on the track of decay in proximity to destruction?

Violence, bloodshed and perversion are of greater specific concern to me than vampirism-
current hollywood vampires are just rather symbolic of all 3.

All this being considered aside from Catholicism or "religion".

Do a little research on the standard symbol
    of anarchy-
that is a rather "religious" symbol,
it is just in the occultic religious sense.

It is a very sad, tormenting symbol,
    related to the pentagram.

    That is not my opinion,

    That is just sigilism...
in any sense of the word.

  3. Why must everything be looked at so seriously and technical? I think it's pushing a bit too far blaming television entertainment like, True Blood and/or The Vampire Diaries for problems in exorcism today. Sadly, I think people have a tendency on forgetting to separate what's actually real and what's simply just entertainment. In my short opinion, of course.:)

    1. What you say is too horribly true but also it's religion that insists that demons and vampires, black magic and all is real... how can believers separate fact from fiction when they aren't allowed to think for themselves.
