Daily 2 Cents: Possible Skinwalker Related Incident -- Mystery Midnight Door Knocker -- Exorcist Signs Movie Deal

Possible Skinwalker Related Incident

I'm a sixteen year old girl who lives in Utah. I'm Navajo and half Mandan Hidatsa. I have been curious to see what other Skinwalker stories are about and I can kind of relate.

My family never mentioned Skinwalkers or witches to me so I knew NOTHING about them. My grandpa died a few months ago this summer so my parents sent me to live with my Grandma to help her around her ranch. Well I brought my cat along (his name is Cheese). Well just after two weeks of living there my cat went missing I figured that he would come back but he never did, I called him and looked for him but nothing. So I went to go put some hay behind the barn for the horses when I saw my orange cat's remains. I thought maybe something attacked him like a coyote so I picked it up and I saw that there were no bones just skin and the outside of his fur there was red and yellow even white paint on the outside of him. I couldn't figure out what it was. I buried him behind a hill with a little stone with his name carved on it. I was so heart broken. My grandma said she could get me a new cat but I didn't want a new cat.

Soon enough I kept hearing meows outside the hogan and scratches at the door. My grandma doesn't have any other cats so I would open the door and find nothing. And when I went to go check on my cat's grave and dig it up to make sure he was still there he was gone but his bones were there. I just couldn't believe it! Why were his bones there? I thought I buried his skin? and ever since I lived there and experienced some of the strangest things in my life. I don't want to go back and live there. I can't even share what kind of crazy things happened to me because from there I drew the line. I was confused and scared about these people but at the same time I knew I WAS one of these people. I have a greater respect for the Navajo people which is why I don't think getting involved with Skinwalkers is a good idea. Just don't mess with them and they wont mess with you. - Reader submitted

Exorcist Signs Movie Deal

Look out Hollywood! An Indiana parish priest has gone from casting out demons to the world of casting actors for movies.

The Rev. Michael Maginot signed a movie deal about the exorcisms he performed on an Indiana woman who lived with her children and mother in a bungalow they believed they shared with demonic spirits.

Maginot signed on to work with Evergreen Media Holdings Executive Chairman Tony DeRosa-Grund, who produced the 2013 blockbuster "The Conjuring," according to the Indianapolis Star.

It was the Indianapolis Star that last week revealed Maginot's role in the eerie phenomena that beset Latoya Ammons and her family when they moved into a one-story white home in Gary.

The family claims that Ammons' daughter levitated above her bed, they heard phantom footsteps emanated from a the basement and saw wet footprints materialize on the floor, among other inexplicable phenomena.

Police and child welfare officials, who investigated, claim that equipment malfunctioned inside the house, mysterious sticky substances appeared with no source and that Ammons' sons spoke in otherworldly voices.

Maginot got involved at the request of a hospital chaplain who said workers saw one of Ammons' sons walk backwards up a wall and onto the ceiling.

“The story is good as it is,” Maginot said to the Star. “You don’t need to go crazy with it.”

He also reportedly cut a deal with Zak Bagans, host and executive producer of “Ghost Adventures. ” Bagans bought the so-called haunted house for a reported $30,000. - THP

McGruff 'The Crime Dog' Going to Prison

Hypocrisy reached cartoonish levels this week when the actor who played McGruff the crime dog received a lengthy prison sentence.

CBS Houston reports that John R. Morales was sentenced to 16 years behind bars after he finally accepted a plea deal related to his 2011 arrest in Galveston, Tex. during which cops found "1,000 marijuana plants, 27 weapons – including a grenade launcher, and 9,000 rounds of ammunition."

As TIME points out, it was, oh so ironically, a drug-sniffing dog that tipped cops off to Morales' weed stash.

U.S. District Judge Vanessa Gilmore told Morales before sentencing him that, ”Everything I read about you makes you seem like a scary person.”

Perhaps it's just us, but McGruff always had a somewhat menacing presence even before his criminal lifestyle was exposed. - THP
