Daily 2 Cents: Can Enlightenment Perceive Future Events? -- 'Hairy Man' w/ Baby Observed -- Brain Activity After 'Brain Death'

Can Enlightenment Perceive Future Events?

By Lon Strickler

I remember reading an interesting article that referenced Tibetan Buddhist monks and their use of precognition. For thousands of years the use of remote viewing, in the middle of other spiritual activities, have dominated Tibetan culture. Back in 2009 a group of Indian tourists came to learn, from a few Tibetan monasteries, some extremely alarming and fascinating information.

According to these tourists remote viewers were seeing world powers in the course of self-destruction. They also perceived that the world would not be destroyed. Specifically between 2009 and 2012 the world super powers would continue to engage in regional wars. Terrorism and covert war would be the main problem. In world politics something would happen in and around 2010. At that time the world powers would threaten to destroy each other.

Between 2010 and 2012, the whole world would become polarized and prepare for the ultimate doomsday. Heavy political maneuvers and negotiations would take place with little progress.

In 2012, the world would begin to plunge into a total destructive nuclear war.

And at that time something remarkable would happen according to these Buddhist monks. Supernatural divine powers would intervene. The destiny of the world is not to self-destruct at this time.

Scientific interpretation of the monks’ statements makes it evident that extraterrestrial powers are watching us every step of the way and would intervene in 2012 and save the world from self-destruction.

When asked about recent UFO sightings in India and China (there have been countless sightings along the India / China border that still continue to occur), the monks smiled and said the divine powers are watching us all. Mankind cannot and will not be allowed to alter the future to that great extent.

Every human being through their current acts in life called “Karma” can alter the future lives to some extent, but changing the destiny in that large extent will not be allowed to that great an extent.

Monks also mentioned that beyond 2012 our current civilization would understand that the final frontier of science and technology is in area of spirituality and not material physics and chemistry. Beyond 2012, out technologies will take a different direction. People will learn the essence of spirituality, the relation between body and the soul, the reincarnation and the fact we are connected with each other are all part of “God”.

When asked if these extraterrestrials will show up in reality in 2012, the answers remote viewers were giving was: 'they will reveal themselves in such a way that none of us scared. They will reveal themselves only if they have to. As our science and technology progresses, we are destined to see them and interact with them any way.'

According to the remote viewers, our earth is blessed and is being saved continuously from all kinds of hazards all the time that we are not even aware of. As our technologies progress we will realize how external forces saved us.

Now that we are deep into 2013, did these extraterrestrial powers intervene at some point? Will they intercede in the future?

The precognitive abilities of these Tibetan monks is not 'remote viewing' in the sense of what procedures governments and the military use, for instance Project Stargate. But what they do use may be closer to astral perception techniques...and a bit of spirituality and intuition added for good measure. - Astral Perceptions

Nebraska Bigfoot Investigation Picking Up Steam

Before July, Saunders County Sheriff Kevin Stukenholtz had never fielded a call about Bigfoot over a lifetime in law enforcement.

Now he has a big mystery on his hands.

Stukenholtz, along with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, investigated a reported sighting of an unidentified “hairy” creature in late July on a country road that parallels the Platte River. A hair sample found at the site was still being analyzed.

A 15-year-old reported seeing the creature, which he said stood about 7 feet tall on two legs as it ran in front of the vehicle the youth was driving about 5:30 a.m. The creature then disappeared into the trees along the river.

Stukenholtz, who became county sheriff six years ago after a long career with the Nebraska State Patrol, said he has no reason to believe the report was a hoax. His office is awaiting a report about hair gathered from the scene, between Morse Bluff and Linwood, about 60 miles west of Omaha.

The sheriff said that even though he thinks it's highly unlikely that Sasquatch has shown up in Saunders County, his office has an obligation to check out credible reports.

“We aren't sure what it was, but we're looking into it,” Stukenholtz said.

The sighting comes as Sasquatch is enjoying a run in the media spotlight.

“Finding Bigfoot,” a reality show on the Animal Planet cable channel, follows a group of investigators trying to confirm the existence of the 7-foot-tall reclusive giant creatures.

There's a Sasquatch Music Festival in central Washington, a Sasquatch Brewing Co. in Portland that features Hairy Knuckles Stout, and a string of hilarious TV commercials for a beef jerky company based on the gag “Messin' with Sasquatch.”

But Bigfoot sightings are no joking matter for some.

Jeff Meldrum, an anthropology and anatomy professor at Idaho State University who has extensively studied Bigfoot sightings, said he's skeptical of any reports from Nebraska because the state doesn't have the expansive wilderness necessary for a large primate.

But Meldrum, author of the 2009 book Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science said that despite some Bigfoot hoaxes, people shouldn't discount that such creatures might exist.

“There's ample evidence to indicate there has to be something out there,” Meldrum said in a telephone interview. “What it is exactly is yet to be determined.”

The report wouldn't be the first for Nebraska, according to the Montana-based Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, which lists reported Sasquatch sightings on its website.

The group lists 14 reported sightings in the state going back to 1957. The most recent sighting listed was in October 2006 at Chadron State Park in northwest Nebraska, where three hikers reported seeing an “unusually tall” two-legged animal covered from head to toe in black fur.

There were also “various sightings” listed from August 2005 “near the Missouri River” close to Omaha.

The website does not list who saw the creatures. The organization has four Nebraska-based investigators, but an official with the group said they have not probed the Platte River sighting because it was not reported to them.

Meldrum, the Bigfoot author, said he's skeptical about the Nebraska sighting because it could not be corroborated by another person.

But Meldrum said he's convinced that in the Pacific Northwest and other heavily wooded U.S. areas with proper rainfall there might be a “relic population of a rare primate.”

Meanwhile, rumors are flying in the Linwood-Morse Bluff area that tracks were found and that people have heard unexplained screams.

No tracks were found, according to Conservation Officer Mark Luben of Game and Parks, who investigated the Bigfoot report.

The officer said he turned over the matter to the Sheriff's Office once he determined the report did not involve a game or nongame animal under the agency's jurisdiction.

Luben said he has fielded two previous reports of Bigfoot sightings in his nearly 24 years with Game and Parks. One, he said, turned out to be a rabbit that had left big tracks in the snow. The tracks were misidentified by a Dwight-area resident who had recently moved to the area from Chicago.

Luben and Stukenholtz both said the teen who reported the creature sighting does not want to be identified or interviewed.

“When anyone ever says the term (Bigfoot), it's immediately followed up by a joke,” Stukenholtz said. “They're certainly not looking for any public ridicule.” - Omaha

Brain activity found after 'brain death'

Parts of the brain may still be active after a commonly used brain activity reading goes to a flat line, according to a study on cat brains published Wednesday in the online journal PLOS One.

The study came after Romanian doctors noticed odd electroencephalogram (EEG) activity in a patient who had lapsed into a coma while under the influence of anti-seizure medication.

Researchers at the Universite de Montreal put 26 cats under deep anesthesia and recorded their brain activity in the upper cortical regions and hippocampus. In all of the cats, a previously undocumented “ripple event” was evident in the hippocampus after EEG read-outs went “flat,” indicating a silenced cortex. The results appeared to replicate what had been seen in the human patient, according to the study.

The findings could revive debate over the criteria for declaring a person “brain dead.” In the U.S., two such flat-line readings 24 hours apart are necessary, along with other tests of brain function.

Researchers said their findings suggest that the brain can survive an extremely deep coma and that inducing such a state could help preserve some brain function that otherwise might cease, causing the brain to atrophy.

Scientists have been steadily probing the nature of brain activity at the border of death. Evidence of a sharp burst in brain activity after cardiac arrest suggest a neural explanation for anecdotes from patients who have recovered from near-death experiences, including a sensation of leaving the body, and deep memories flickering in dream-like fashion.

The most famous example of the phenomena turned into a best-selling book, “Proof of Heaven,” in which a physician recounted the vivid imagery he experienced during a coma. Neurologists question whether the cortex was fully shut down and suggest these memory functions reflected activity in the brain, not a supernatural phenomenon.

Anecdotes of near-death imagery have varied by culture and changed significantly over time and correlate with the teller's religious iconography, skeptics note. Heavenly experiences, they suggest, are in the mind of the beholder.

A recent study using mice showed that brain activity after complete cardiac arrest does not gradually wane to zero but is distinguished by phases that include a burst of activity -- a phenomenon noted also by the Montreal team.

The Montreal team, however, suggests there is a state beyond the end of cortical activity and that an area of the brain closely associated with memory may be sending signals to its master, the cortex, where higher functions, consciousness among them, are generated. - LaTimes

Passenger on flight sees Hairy Man with a baby

This story is about a lady who was a passenger on Grant Aviation who saw an adult female Hairy Man with a little one during her flight. This lady, who wishes to be anonymous, was flying from her village of Nightmute to Bethel when the sighting occurred.

She wrote a letter to Delta Discovery about her experience afterwards. After receiving her letter, we contacted her for more details.

The day was approximately April 15 or 16, 2013. They were on their descent and circling around to land in Bethel when she saw the two creatures. The smaller one stayed very close to its mother. It would hide under its mother’s legs, like a child would. The adult was very tall, taller than a human and very dark and hairy.

As she watched them, the two went into some bushes and were hidden from sight. In her surprise and shock, it did not occur to her to tell the other passengers about what she was seeing.

When she got home to Nightmute she told her story to another person. She was encouraged to write it down and send it to the Delta Discovery. The following is her letter:

First time in my lifetime I saw a Hairy Man or Woman with a little one. I was up in the air flying with Grant Aviation. I was very surprised when I saw two of them. I used to think I’d never ever see one or even two in my lifetime. I started thinking – do they even get cold or get very hungry? What do they do? Where do they come from?

I was very happy that I didn’t see them close by because if I did see them close by I’d be very scared. If I ever see one close by I’ll pray right there. I just wanted to write and send what I saw while I was up in the airplane.

I have been reading the stories about Hairy Man in the Delta Discovery, and then I saw two of them while flying in the airplane. If I ever see one from close by I’ll write again and send it. I don’t really feel like seeing them from close by because I would be scared, but God made these creatures the way that they are. - Delta Discovery
