Just the Facts?: UFO Suspected in Plane Damage -- Michael Jackson 'accidentally killed himself' -- Dead Alien Hoaxer Jailed

UFO suspected in Chinese plane nose cone damage

An Air China jet was forced to make an emergency landing after experiencing a large bang. Upon landing, the nose cone was found dented, and it was suspected that the plane collided with something, but just what caused the damage is still under debate.

Air China flight CA4307 left Chengdu on the morning of June 4, headed for Guangzhou. According to China Daily, Air China reported the possible collision occurred at 10:11 am. The pilot contacted the Chengdu airport, and returned to Chengdu for an emergency landing.

China Daily reports the damage was due to a collision with a bird. However, The Aviation Herald says a bird strike was ruled out “due to a lack of blood, feathers or any other bird remains.” A couple of pilots on The Aviation Herald website have commented that they experienced similar situations. In those cases the damage was due to a damaged radar in the cone, causing the nose cone to collapse.

According to The Sun, experts concur the damage was not due to a bird. They say the plane’s elevation was too high for birds, and suggest another possibility could be a drone. The Sun says Chinese authorizes have yet to officially respond on the cause of the accident.

However, a report released last week on the near collision with “flat, silver discs” reported by pilots in England is fresh in people’s minds. So it is no wonder there is speculation that a UFO could be the cause of the damage to the Chinese plane.

Nick Pope, a former UFO investigator for Britain’s Ministry of Defence, told The Sun:

Cases like this show that whatever people believe about UFOs, there are serious air safety issues here. MoD and CAA files contain dozens of reports of near misses between UFOs and commercial aircraft. It’s only a matter of time before there’s a catastrophe. From the look of the photos, this disturbing incident came very close to blowing this aircraft out of the sky.

Whatever struck the aircraft will have left evidence. Analysis of the damaged nose cone should reveal microscopic traces of whatever struck the aircraft, or possibly even larger pieces of debris. So this is a solvable mystery. The only question is, will the notoriously secretive Chinese authorities reveal the truth about what happened?

A Chinese man was arrested after admitting that his tale of an alien encounter was a hoax.

According to reports, the man claimed to have encountered five aliens on the banks of the Yellow River about three months ago.

He said one was killed by a high-voltage electric fence and he took the body home, storing it in a freezer.

Police became interested in his story after the man made a website that drew a lot of attention.

CCTV said the man confessed to authorities that it was a hoax.

He said he made the body with rope and bone glue.

He was reportedly given five days of detention on charges of fabricating lies and disrupting normal social order. - KFOR

Amazonian Royal Flycatcher

The Amazonian Royal Flycatcher is found in forests and woodlands throughout most of the Amazon basin. They are about 6 1/2 inches in length and like to dart out from branches to catch flying insects or pluck them from leaves. They build very large nests (sometimes up to 6 feet long) on branches near water. The nest hangs over the water which makes it hard for predators to reach. (Image via hamusoku)

Woman approaches kids with chain saw

A Missouri woman is accused of trying to scare children by approaching them with a chain saw while wearing a ski mask.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department says Lynn Marie Herzog of Winfield, Mo., is charged with felony harassment in the Sunday incident.

Patricia Manker called the police after she saw Herzog yelling at her son and his friend and walking toward them with the mask and chain saw.

According to a probable cause statement, Manker and another neighbor say the 50-year-old woman has also been seen photographing and videotaping neighborhood kids.

Herzog is jailed on $10,000 bond. She doesn't have an attorney.

Sheriff's department spokesman Andy Binder said the chain saw was not running during the alleged incident. Manker told police she didn't believe the children were in danger. - Stl Today

Michael Jackson's ghost tells Lionel Richie's ex-wife he 'accidentally' killed himself, hears court

The ongoing trial in which Michael Jackson's family are seeking £26 billion in damages against AEG Live, accusing the promoter of negligence which contributed to Jackson's death, took an unexpected turn yesterday (June 11) as Randy Phillips, CEO of AEG Live, testified about talks had with the ghost of Jackson.

Phillips said his friend Brenda Richie – Lionel Richie's ex-wife - spoke to a medium or contacted Jackson's spirit herself. The ghost of the singer, who died in 2009, apparently said he "accidentally killed himself" and also absolved Dr Conrad Murray of any wrongdoing, reports the New York Post.

Phillips told jurors at the court in Los Angeles: "Brenda called me to tell me that she was in communications with Michael either through a medium or directly. She said Michael told her that it wasn't Dr Murray's fault, that he had accidentally killed himself." Yvette Palazuelos - LA County Superior Court Judge - allowed Phillips' bizarre explanation to stand, even though many in the courtroom burst into laughter upon hearing his testimony.

The Jackson family claims AEG Live was neglectful when it hired Conrad Murray, who gave the singer the overdose of sedative Propofol that lead to his death. Murray was jailed in 2011 after being convicted of involuntary manslaughter. Jackson died three weeks before the start of his string of London gigs and his mother Katherine Jackson believes rehearsals for the tour pushed him too hard.

The trial began on April 29 and is due to continue for three months. - NME
