Just the Facts?: Three Recent Yeti Sightings -- Castration = Longer Life -- DARPA and the Super Soldier

Three Yeti sightings in Siberia in recent weeks

Three separate 'sightings' of yetis have been made in Siberia in recent weeks, say fishermen and an official in Russia.

All were in the remote Kemerovo region, where around 30 'abominable snowmen' live, according to the country's leading researcher on the creatures.

In one previously undisclosed case last month near Myski village, fishermen in a boat on a river initially mistook distant figures first for bears and then people, said the Siberian Times

'We shouted to them - do you need help?,' said fisherman Vitaly Vershinin.

'They just rushed away, all in fur, walking on two legs, making their way through the bushes and with two other limbs, straight up the hill.'

He said: "What did we think? It could not be bears, as the bear walks on all-fours, and they ran on two.... so then they were gone.'

On a second sighting on the bank of the Mras-Su River several days later, an unnamed fisherman was quoted saying: 'We saw some tall animals looking like people.'

He added: 'Our binoculars were broken and did not let us see them sharply. We waved at the animals but they did not respond, then quickly ran back into the forest, walking on two legs.

'We realised that they were not in dark clothes but covered by dark fur. They did walk like people.'

In a further case this month, an unnamed forestry inspector had encountered a 'yeti' Shorsky National Park, according to local government official Sergei Adlyakov.

'The creature did not look like a bear and quickly disappeared after breaking some branches of the bushes,' he said.

This case was in Tashtagolski district, close to the border with Khakassia. No images have appeared from the alleged sightings.

Russia's leading 'yeti' expert Igor Burtsev, head of the International Centre of Hominology, claimed that Myski will next month host an international conference and expedition in search of the yeti.

He said the 'sighting' was 'significant' though he was unaware of the later National Shorsky Park case.

He added: 'We shall explore new areas, to the north from the usual places yetis have been seen previously. The conference will start in Moscow and then we will travel with our guests to Kemerovo region.'

At a similar expedition last year, he claimed to have found yeti hair though no DNA findings have been released.

He claims the creature - also known as Bigfoot and Sasquatch - is the missing link between Neanderthal man and modern human beings.

Burtsev has previously claimed a population of around 30 yetis are living in Kemerovo region.

'We have good evidence of the yeti living in our region, and we have heard convincing details from experts elsewhere in Russia and in the US and Canada,' he said.

'The description of the habits of the Abominable Snowmen are similar from all over the world.'

Last November hunters claimed they had discovered the nest of a legendary Yeti in the same area of Siberia.

Experts stumbled across trees, twisted by force to form an arch, in the area which is famed for sightings of the wildman.

Biologist John Bindernagel, 69, said: 'We didn't feel like the trees we saw in Siberia had been done by a man or another mammal.

'Twisted trees like this have also been observed in North America and they could fit in with the theory that Bigfoot makes nests.'

Sightings of the Yeti have been reported in France, North America and the Himalayas but Dr Bindernagel said these are mainly ignored by scientists who are put off by 'jokes and taboos.'

Mr Burtsev has previously strongly denied accusations that yeti 'sightings' are a bizarre ruse to attract tourists to the far-flung region.

Reports say the two-legged creatures are heavy-set, more around 7ft tall and resemble bears. - dailymail

Village engulfed in sea foam

Storms have been battering parts of Scotland causing flooding, road closures and closing some schools. The high winds sweeping the country forced foam from the North Sea onto land at Aberdeen's Footdee area at the beach on Tuesday morning.

The spume left cars, streets and houses looking as if they had been hit by a sudden snow storm. "The sea is acting like a washing machine," said Prof Christopher Todd, marine ecologist at the Scottish Oceans Institute at the University of St Andrews.

He said the easterly gales battering the Aberdeenshire coast had led to an "incredible amount of wave action". Prof Todd said that the air had "piled into the water" and mixed up with organic material. He said: "It is likely there are phytoplankton cells and they produce a lot of mucus which when whipped up can form this foam."

Most phytoplankton are too small to be seen but they can form an algal bloom in the spring and, to a lesser extent, in the autumn. The sea foam - or spume - can be quite "stable" when formed and can last a significant period of time, Prof Todd said.

NOTE: for those who have ever own a marine reef aquarium and used a protein skimmer, then you know what the nasty stuff in the foam really is...Lon

Castration Led to Longer Life in Historical Study of Korean Eunuchs

Again and again in the animal world, males have shorter lifespans than females, an effect scientists attribute in part to the deleterious effects of testosterone.

Now researchers who looked at historical records of Korean eunuchs castrated during boyhood found that the eunuchs lived considerably longer than ordinary, testicled men.

“Our study supports the idea that male sex hormones decrease the lifespan of men,” wrote researchers led by biologist Kyung-Jin Min of Korea University in a study published Sept. 24 in Current Biology.

'Our study supports the idea that male sex hormones decrease the lifespan of men.'Animal studies have led scientists to propose that evolution may have favored males who invest their energies into youthful reproduction, leaving them less fit later in life.

This “live fast, die young” effect could be mediated by testosterone, a hormone involved in testes growth, muscle development and aggression, but that also seems to have an immune system-weakening effect. Continue reading at wired

DARPA Continues Human Experiments to Create Military Super Soldiers

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has a $2 billion yearly budget for research into creating a super solider as well as developing a synthetic police force.

Working with the human genome, DARPA hopes to manipulate certain gene expressions. In experimentation, DARPA and the military industrial pharmaceutical complex are using natural abilities that are enhanced through genetic engineering.

Some of the medical feats DARPA would like to enhance are the ability of military soldiers to regrow limbs destroyed in battle.

By eliminating empathy, the Department of Defense (DoD) hopes to “enhance” a soldier’s ability to “kill without care or remorse, show no fear, can fight battle after battle without fatigue and generally behave more like a machine than a man.”

Scientists are researching the construction of soldiers that feel no pain, terror, and do not suffer from fatigue as tests on the wiring of the human brain are furthered by Jonathan Moreno, professor of bioethics at Pennsylvania State University.

Moreno is working with the DoD in understanding neuroscience. The Pentagon has allocated $400 million to this research.

Further study could be passed onto the general public in order to maximize profits as well as enhance the drug’s effectiveness.

According to Joel Garreau, professor at Arizona University, DARPA is learning how to genetically modify human fat into pure energy by rewiring the metabolic switch which would create soldiers that require less food.

By using gene therapy and combining enhancements to alter the color of the human eye is a blending of mutations that have no basis in the natural world.

In 2011, the British Academy of Medical Sciences published a paper explaining the necessity for “new rules to avoid ethical missteps.”

The paper stated that the injection of human brain cells into animals that may give animals human memories or thought consciousness as the goal should be dealt with differently than a non-modified animal.

Human embryos can strengthen or deteriorate the animal test subject which prompted Senator Sam Brownback to push the Human Chimera Prohibition Act of 2005.

Brownback expressed the need for prevention of closed-door experiments that “blur the lines between human and animal, male and female, parent and child, and one individual and another individual.”

The ethical aspect could be defined by two mandates of consideration:
1. They could target the hypothetical scientists creating monsters in petri dishes.
2. They could take a close look at the science that’s really happening in labs around the world.

In addition to genetically modifying the human genome, global Elite are obsessed with the merging man and machine, transhumanism and immortality.

Basing advancements on scientific research, the 2045 Program will create “a new vision of human development that meets global challenges humanity faces today, realization of the possibility of a radical extension of human life by means of cybernetic technology, as well as the formation of a new culture associated with these technologies.”

The globalists at the 2045 Program assert that humanity “is in need of a new evolutionary strategy” consisting of a balance between the complexity of technological advances and the acceleration of informational processes to expand the “limited, primitive human” into a “highly self-organized” and technologically “higher intelligence”.

Coincidentally, The Project for the New American Century (PNAC) published a document entitled Rebuilding America’s Defenses in 2000 which frameworks a strategy for American hegemony in the near future, identifying “problem areas” of the world and advising regime change of unfavorable governments so that in the end the nations of the world will be unified under the banner of American democracy.

The revelation of former US President George Bush’s “axis of evil” defined American policy under the guidelines of the PNAC with the identification of Iran, Iraq and North Korea which is literally mentioned in the PNAC as governments that require a regime change.

In the PNAC, the globalists have described the use of scientific enhancement and clinical trials turning the US armed forces into gueinia pigs for the advancement of a super solider.

While Roger Pitman , professor of psychiatry at Harvard University is experimenting with propranolol which is a beta blocker that is believed to erase “terrifying memories”, soldiers are subjected to more research while serving to alleviate the psychological effects of war.

Moreno explains: “The problem is: what else are they blocking when they do this? Do we want a generation of veterans who return without guilt?”

Allan Snyder, professor of neuroscience in Australia, has been working to understand how transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) can effect higher mental processing with the use of magnetic fields to promote unfettered reasoning.

The US Academy of Sciences reported in 2009 that they expected to be successful in using TMS against soldiers to “enhance [their] fighting capabilities.”

Moreno reveals that TMS helmets could be used in battlefields to expand a soldier’s technical expertise and become a more proficient marksman as well as master electronics used in training exercises. - theintelhub
