Just the Facts?: Wisconsin Bigfoot -- 30-40 Orbs Over Sanford, Florida -- Deadly Tarantula Invasion

New Report of an Old Bigfoot Sighting - Linda Godfrey

Monsters and camp stories just seem to go together. but this recounting of a young teens experience in 1961, strikes me as much more than a mere campfire tale. He tells it so well that I’m going to just put it in his own words, leaving out names since I don’t have permission to give them. I think it’s a fascinating look at Bigfoot behavior in many ways, particularly in regard to interest in humans and human activities. Coincidentally, the report came in while I was at Creature Weekend 2012 in Cambridge, Ohio. Enjoy!

Listening to Coast to Coast, I was shocked to hear about bigfoot in southeastern Wisconsin. Let me tell you about my experience. Keep in mind that I am a college graduate and a recently retired high school teacher. I do not belong to any strange sects; in fact, I’m rather nerdish. Truly, I’m quite believable. Dead Spanish man lay undiscovered at home for up to 20 years

The remains of a Spanish man have been found lying in the corridor of his terraced house in the north-western village of Canizal some 20 years after he died. Police looking for clues to the date of Vicente Benito's death point to the fact that the only coins and banknotes they could find in the house were denominated in pesetas, suggesting he had died well before the euro was introduced in 2002. In fact nobody had seen Benito for almost two decades, though none of his neighbours in the village of 520 people thought there was anything peculiar about him failing to answer his doorbell for so long.

They long ago gave up ringing on it, assuming he had moved to neighbouring Portugal. There were rumours he had found a girlfriend, or was working as a shepherd in some other part of the world. A few people remember being angry that he had left a dog tied to the metal bars across a window that gave straight on to the street, but that was a decade or two ago. The dog was eventually cut loose and taken in by a neighbour, but no one tried to find out if Benito was ill in bed or somehow unable to get of his tiny house. "We think he was last seen at least 15 years ago, but no one is sure," the mayor, Miguel Angel Herrero, explained. Earlier this week, however, a nephew who lived in the village decided to break into his uncle's house.

"They say he wanted to see what had happened to his uncle," a neighbour said. "I don't think I'll be able to sleep for at least a week," the young man reportedly said. Benito would be 73 were he still alive, so would have been in his mid-50s when he died. "He had stopped talking to his siblings and went to work as a shepherd. He was always off somewhere, so it didn't occur to people that he might still be in the village," said Herrero. His ex-wife, who had gone to live with someone else, formally reported him missing in 1992. She had since remarried and moved to the nearby village of Olmo de la Guareña.

Villagers were unable to explain why, given that Benito was slowly doing up his house and had left a six-inch gap at the bottom of his front door, nobody had noticed a strange smell. Herrero suggested a nearby pigsty had blocked it out. "These days there a lot of solitary souls in our villages," commented Celedonia Pérez. Local police were rumoured to have found a lottery ticket from Spain's ONCE organisation for the blind dating back to the early 1990s. "They should check his bank account, that should show when he last took out money," a neighbour, María Victoria Barros suggested. - guardian

Deadly ‘Tarantulas’ invade Indian town

A swarm of potentially venomous spiders has reportedly invaded a town in India and two people have died after being bitten.

The residents of Sadiya, in Assam state, said they were celebrating a Hindu festival on the evening of May 8 when swarms of spiders suddenly appeared and attacked them, The Times of India reported.

Two people died over the next few days, including a man and a schoolboy, and many more turned up at the town's hospital after being bitten.

Authorities are considering fogging the town with insecticide DDT to kill the spiders and a team of life scientists has arrived in the town to identify the arachnids.

"As of now, we cannot give a specific name. It's similar to a tarantula but it could be a whole new species" Dr L R Saikia, head of the Department of Life Sciences at Dibrugarh University, said.

"But whatever the species, it is a highly aggressive spider. It leaps at anything that comes close."

Dr Saikia said it was "too early to declare it a killer spider" because its venom had not yet been tested for toxicity.

The superintendent of Sadiya Civil Hospital said it was not certain the deaths were due to the spiders' venom.

"It could have been an allergic reaction to the venom, which triggered cardiac arrest in both the victims," Dr Anil Phatowali said.

"But all the bite patients first went to witch doctors, who cut open their wounds with razors, drained out blood and burnt it. That could have also made them sick." - timesofindia

2012's SCARY What IF - Sound As The Final Weapon

Fromm Rick Phillips - Recently, including the previous post, UDCC has been featuring the on-going Sky Noise Phenomena of 2012. (SNP) For those just visiting UDCC for the first time, or for whom the phenomena doesn't register in awareness - yet; it is a variety of `sounds' that have been showing up in the world skies since about last March when the phenomena began in Florida, at least on the Internet. Indeed, the most common variation of the sound is simply a hum that is similar to a distant OR close JET engine; for this sound variation, the LEVEL is what it what is the main characteristic. And, because of that, and because of people's awareness levels in general and city/landscape sounds, - it can be assumed that most low levels of this phenomena simply go unreported.
