Paranormal researcher Lorraine Warren certainly has her fair share of ghost stories, and then some. She told Fox 4′s Russ Simmons that there was a supernatural entity in the building where this interview took place. She and director James Wan (“Saw”) team with Academy Award nominated Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson to tell the story of a house of horrors in “The Conjuring.”

Would you hire a property whisperer?

To make your home irresistible to buyers, ensure it has lots of positive energy.

The first rule in Feng Shui when you are buying a new home is to ask why the present owners are selling. Perhaps you won't get a straight answer but finding out what has happened to the previous owners is important as their energy will be in the house.

Like most psychics, I feel and see energy and that's the determining factor in many of my purchases - does the energy feel right and do I sense a positive outcome for the money spent?

So if you are selling your home and are seeking to make it irresistible to buyers, you need to ensure it has lots of positive energy or "good vibes". Careful physical cleaning, polishing and interior decoration is important too but then it's time to clear any old stuck energy and fill your house with the energy of happiness and laughter. This is especially important if you are selling the family home because of a bitter divorce or your beloved partner of many years has died so sadness is filling your heart and home rather than happiness.

LET GO OF YOUR HOME

This is an important part of the preparation to say goodbye to your home and start to withdraw your energy from it. If you don't many new buyers can sense your sadness and reluctance to move and this translates as an uncomfortable energy as they walk through the house. So be brave and set aside an afternoon where you walk from room to room and say your farewells to each room of memories, then go to the garden and do the same.

Before you walk around, open all the windows and take a stick of good quality frankincense incense with you. Imagine as the smoke wafts around that you are clearing and releasing out the window any energy of sadness, failure or trauma from the walls, furniture, room and yourself too. A few drops of good quality pure essential oil of lemon, peppermint and lavender in a water bottle and sprayed around is very good as well for clearing rooms where people and pets have been sick or passed away.

WORK WITH THE SPIRIT WORLD

One of the biggest reasons homes don't sell easily is the spirits of people who don't want new owners somehow block the sale. We all have loved ones in spirit around us and mostly they like to help us and don't mean to cause you problems. But they do like for you to still talk to them about your intentions if you are planning to move. So light a white candle and sit in a quiet place and imagine you are talking to them. Ask for their cooperation in finding wonderful buyers and let them know that after the sale you will consult further with them and they can decide to either move with you or stay where they are.

Most loved ones are very happy with this approach but if you feel some sort of resistance or even anger about the sale, it's a good idea to enlist the assistance of a psychic to talk further with them or send them to the Light in the case of unhappy lost souls. Rooms which have a cold unpleasant energy or strange things happening in them such as lights that go on and off by themselves may be home to these are spirits who don't realise they are actually physically dead. In South Australia where I live, lots of homes are built where once indigenous Australians lived. They are now there in spirit and not pleased that you are not honouring them and their land correctly. Again, a short meditation to apologise for not being aware of their presence, then asking their permission to live on their land will start your own reconciliation process and greatly smooth your selling plans.

ENHANCING ENERGY

Now you need to fill the house with joy. Try standing and laughing and clapping your hands in each room followed by thinking about some time you felt great happiness and love there or at another time in your life. Spray essential oils of geranium, bergamot and frankincense around the room or diffuse in an oil burner. Some rose quartz and gold colour crystals placed at the base of some healthy green pot plants are great energisers especially if you take a few moments first to fill the crystal with positive energy and then imagine or visualise prospective buyers walking through the house saying "This home feels so beautiful and loved, I would like living here".

Angels can of course rapidly assist us at any time to bring in positive energy so do consider asking them in meditation to clear negative energy from your property first. Any revered religious figure has intense power so don't forget your home is your temple and regular prayers and meditations will build up lots of positive energy. A statue of the eastern goddess Kuan Yin always brings a sense of harmony to a room.

I suggest removing any old photographs of long lost relatives that reminds you of unhappy times, and ensure all pictures left are of you and other people content with life or at a high point in their life such as graduation photographs. Artwork and objects that invoke a sense of beauty and personal power are best too.

MIRACLES ARE POSSIBLE

Well, now you have only to do some magnetising of new buyers. A day or two before your property is open for inspection, meditate and visualise your house filled with bright white light and countless helpful angels. Imagine this incredible energy drawing many people to your house who all appear to walk around excited to buy it. Then see yourself a month or two later in your house and you seem to be celebrating the sale of your home - it was so quick and easy you can't believe it has happened, a miracle has happened! Now hold onto that emotion of excitement and success knowing that this positive energy will make your home like a magnet to people who would be happy to buy it. - Herald Sun

10,000 turtles found in luggage

More than 10,000 live exotic turtles have been found in the luggage of two passengers at an Indian airport.

The two Indian nationals were arrested at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International airport in Kolkata after customs officials discovered the reptiles packed in their suitcases.

"10,043 numbers of exotic varieties of the turtles have been seized from two passengers, residents of Chennai, who were coming from China to Singapore, and landed at Kolkata airport," said assistant commissioner of Airport Customs, Nabnit Kumar.

The turtles were in three bags waiting to be picked up from a conveyor belt when they aroused the suspicion of customs officials, The Indian Express reported.

According to the World Wildlife Fund, nearly all species of sea turtle are classified as endangered and many are at risk of extinction due to human activities.

Increasing pollution, drainage of wetlands and commercial development tend to destroy the habitats and nesting sites of turtles.

WWF says that turtles are also endangered because of poaching, being slaughtered for their eggs, meat, skin and shells, and falling prey to over-exploitation.

An investigation has been launched into the attempted smuggling case. - Sky

NASA developing warp drive

Researchers at NASA’s Texas-based Johnson Space Center are trying to prove that it is possible to travel faster than the speed of light, and hope to one day build an engine that resembles the fictional Starship Enterprise.

NASA physicist and engineer Dr. Harold G. White, 43, believes it is possible to bend the rules of time and space that Albert Einstein constructed when he postulated that it is impossible to exceed the speed of light.

White's research is based on the theories of Mexican physicist Miguel Alcubierre, who in 1994 theorized that exceeding Einstein’s galactic speed limit was possible if scientists discovered a way to harness the expansion and contraction of space. And Harold and his team are trying to do just that.

By creating a “warp bubble” that expands space on one side of a spaceship and contracts it on the other, “the spaceship will be pushed away from the Earth and pulled towards a distant star by space-time itself,” Dr. Alcubierre wrote in his hypothesis.

Dr. White is trying to warp the trajectory of a photon to see if he can propel its travel at faster-than-light speeds. His laboratory floats above a system of underground pneumatic piers and was constructed in a way that it would be free from seismic disturbances, since his team’s measuring devices can pick up the smallest vibrations – even those created from people who are walking nearby.

Dr. White told the New York Times that since nature can travel at warp speeds, there is a chance that humans can figure out how to do it too.

“Space has been expanding since the Big Bang 13.7 billion years ago,” Dr. White told the Times. “And we know that when you look at some of the cosmology models, there were early periods of the universe where there was explosive inflation, where two points would’ve went receding away from each other at very rapid speeds.”

Although Dr. White believes the potential construction of a spaceship like the USS Enterprise lies in the distant future, such a project could open doors for far-reaching space travel. Developing a warp drive would allow NASA to drastically reduce travel times to other star systems from tens of thousands of years to weeks or months. With such technology, astronauts could take quick trips to explore other solar systems.

Edwin F. Taylor, a former editor of The American Journal of Physics and senior research scientist at MIT, told the Times that “the idea is crazy for now.”

“[But] check with me in a hundred years,” he added, thereby noting that constructing such a spacecraft might lie in the realm of possibilities.

Richard Obousy, a physicist and president of Icarus Interstellar, said the idea “is not air-fairy, pie in the sky.”

“We tend to overestimate what we can do on short time scales, but I think we massively underestimate what we can do on longer time scales,” he said of Dr. White’s work.

But Dr. Alcubierre, who has never met Dr. White, said that a major hurdle is the fact that a warp bubble “cannot be reached by any signal from within the ship” and can’t be turned on or off in the first place.

Despite the odds, Dr. White and his team are continuing their research, and believe that they can bring warp speed into the realm of the possible. - RT
