Phantoms and Monsters: Pulse of the Paranormal

I received the following report on Saturday July 14th:

I am a business owner, over 50yrs of age, living on the edge of Spring and Houston, Texas. We live in the OLDE OAKS neighborhood just north of FM 1960 off of TC Jester. My wife and I woke up near midnight and decided to go out for a bite to eat. Traveling south on TC Jester and towards FM 1960 suddenly a winged creature darted across the avenue directly in front of us. We were both stunned as we tried to identify what it was we were seeing. The creature had come out of a small section of wooded area about a block long west of TC Jester. The wings were spread, which covered most of the two lane one way avenue south bound. It was approximately 50ft in front of us moving very rapidly east. It was just barely off the road and about windshield level of our SUV. It's color was bluish grey with a height of 6-7ft. The wings did not flap at all and were spread out about 60 degrees forming almost a perfect V. The wings were long, narrow, and came to perfect points. The wing span was maybe 15-20ft. After crossing at a remarkable speed it simply disappeared. We were stunned and when comparing what we witnessed we could not put our finger on the strangest of this creature.....until we read the article referenced on the subject. The creature had no feathers and we saw no feet. This creature was witnessed by us on July 2, 2012 and was traveling what would be the direction of Spring, Texas.

Huge Leather-Winged 'V-Shaped' Bird - Spring, Texas

Good afternoon,

A buddy and I were looking at a swamp on Spring Creek in Spring, Texas on 6 July 2012. We were standing on shore looking around. I spotted one alligator and lots of beautiful dragonflies. Across the swamp, directly in front of us. We both watched the largest bird we had ever seen take flight from a tree and head directly for us. It was gray with no feathers. It had a wing-span of just over 3/4 the length of a pick-up truck and looked like a flying leather "V." It made a sharp right and landed in a tree. Its weight shook the entire top of the tree and from there we lost site. It had a white head, gray wings, and no noticeable feet. The wingspan has to be between ten and fifteen feet and had no feathers, only what appeared to me hide like a bat.

You may add this to your site. We would like to know what we saw. The photos on your site match the description of a huge, leather flying "V," and that best describes what we saw.
