Calcutta Residents Claim Coelacanth Fished Out of Ganges River

Is this a Coelacanth or a Grouper? - Indian paleontologists are heading to Calcutta in West Bengal after locals claimed to have fished a prehistoric Coelacanth out of the water.

Coelacanths were believed to have been extinct since the end of the Cretaceous period until the first specimen was found off the east coast of South Africa in 1938.

Since then they have been found in the Comoros, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique and Madagascar.

But the experts are trying to work out how what would be the biggest ever Coelacanth specimen weighing 320 kilos came to be floating down the Ganges.

The fish, eight feet long and three feet wide, had a cut on its stomach and some of the fins had been torn free.

Official stands by kids who raised the alarm saying: "Initially we thought that a big sea animal was coming to devour us, it was only when we got out the water we realised it was dead."

Experts believe that if it is a Coelacanth the fish may have been caught and dumped by fishermen as it almost worthless because the flesh exudes oils even when dead, giving the flesh a foul flavour and a disgusting smell.

(An Orange-Spotted Grouper, indigenous to Indian coastal waters)

NOTE: well, this doesn't look like a Coelacanth to me. The anatomy just doesn't match. Besides, I really doubt a prehistoric species only known to survive in saltwater would be found in the Ganges River. Orange-Spotted Groupers, indigenous to Indian coastal waters, can be found in tidal areas and estuarine waters...Lon

Psychic Predicted Jaycee's Safe Return - Dayle Schear, a woman whose psychic abilities have been used internationally, says when she was hired to give some insight into this case in 1991, she told Jaycee's parents--this day would come.

Schear has worked on many crime cases, including some high-profile ones such as the O.J. Simpson case. But Jaycee's case always stuck out in her mind.

Schear recounts the day she spoke to Terry Probyn, Jaycee's mother. "I looked her in the eyes and I said please do not give up on this child...eventually she'll walk through the door, you're going to see her again."

Schear also told Terry some unsettling details.

"I described general area and how she was being held I said it was sexual...I knew she was being held at force and she could not get to a phone to call."

Jaycee Dugard's mother always held on to the hope that she and her daughter would one day be reunited.

Schear says, "She never gave up hope in her heart and she always believed someday her daughter would walk through her door."

So what does Schear say lies in the future for Jaycee? She predicts that Jaycee will pull out of this with guidance and counseling, and will become a spokesperson to help others.

How the World Handles the Unknown

How does the world handle the unknown? That is easy to answer. The world handles it with laughter, scary fun, make believe and of course by handing it all to Hollywood so they can make movies of all that unknown stuff that frightens us so it can simply be tossed off as fantasy.

We seem to have a severe fear of dealing with subjects we do not understand with such a fierce refusal to accept or understand that which we can not explain that we insist on keeping it a joke, a entertainment, something that makes us yell with fun filled silliness. We want movies and scary books and even want to walk around imitating Vampires, as that is what Hollywood, HBO as well as many other media companies have trained us to do.

I am not sure who drives this system of dealing with the unknown however agree it must have roots in government, world control or maybe even the aliens. Like all things we do not understand our method of handling the subject of UFO sightings, alien encounters plus many other unknown areas seems always to end up in fantasy-land and the hands of movie-makers. I enjoy a great flick like everyone else but hey- could we maybe once have the issue of visiting beings seen all over the world in odd crafts looked at seriously by our scientists and government agencies without the commercials and popcorn?

Concerning the world of the paranormal humans seem to be trained like dogs and cats to jump around and laugh at the mention of things they do not understand. The only thing missing is the cookie treat when we react, as our training requires! It seems with ease mankind can be dragged around by the nose and told what to think and what not to think and what we should find funny. What ever fantasy cable TV or Hollywood shows us we confuse it with fact, or think of fact as fantasy or simply do not care. We have given up reason for instant entertainment.

We sit for hours in front of the boob tube willing to absorb whatever is tossed at us without thought or care. What ever that boob tube spits out we believe and follow. We do as we are trained and commanded to do and view the world right or wrong as the controlling forces wish us to and never seem to ask a question or look for more.

Understanding how this works one has to wonder who really is deciding what we see and learn and what we are not being told. I would think that the reality of truth about most things on this planet and in our universe are at best only partly told to the humans that populate this earth. I think that most of what is real and fact is hidden and kept at arms length from the masses for reasons we may never understand. I just cannot help wonder why we as a species have been so easily controlled and are so willingly kept in the dark.

For a while it seemed the world of UFO sightings and Alien interactions with mankind was going to make some headway. It seemed as if lots of new and interesting things were being written about and observed. Many credible people were starting to come forward with solid sightings and encounters. It seemed to be heading to a place where this subject matter could be discussed with logic and considered with a science eye. Finally it seemed we were heading towards an awareness that the paranormal was just science we did not yet understand.

I began to sense a change. I was not sure why. It may have been the economy and strain of the world’s condition. I could not pin point the exact reasons but I started to notice a decline in the forward movement of the world of the paranormal.

I noticed that the gusto of reaching for answers to the questions of the unknown seemed to diminish. Maybe it is the recessionary times we are dealing with that has reversed our interests in subjects of the unknown to those more pressing in the world.

I noticed less activity on the Internet in paranormal areas that previously were popular and busy. I noticed sites closing and those who were involved in the paranormal missing from the paranormal scene. I watched and realized that like all things in the universe this subject seemed to be entering another cycle and this time is was moving backwards instead of ahead.

I worked for years to bring forward reports of UFO’s, visiting aliens, abductions, as well as other unknown areas that remain unexplained, into the light. I tried hard to make this an area we could begin to understand and realize as real and happening to many on this earth. It was time we removed our minds from the control of those who would like to continue on keeping us all ignorant about the unknown. It is clear we need to move away from being trained NOT to think about these subjects. It is time we stop believing, laugh or follow what we are told concerning them. For awhile it seemed we were moving closer to wanting to know more about who we are, who visits us and what our role in the universe may be.

Talking to many who have had real sightings and real encounters with beings that were not human has been a remarkable experience. Writing about it has been my attempt to drag the human race out of the their brain dead Dark Age thinking concerning these matters and into the realization they need to educate them selves to what is going on around them.

As I dug deeper into the world of the unknown I knew it was only time before many people out there would also encounter things they did not understand and were completely ill equipped to deal with. The only tools any of us have are the knowledge we obtain and our ability to use that knowledge. Mankind has had the knowledge needed for them to handle the world of the paranormal taken from them and controlled by way of mass ignorance or media brain washing. We as a species have willingly walked our selves off the cliff by refusing to demand education on matters of the unknown by sitting in fogged stupors laughing and drooling over the next big scary movie to come by.

We were on the edge of understanding the world of UFO sightings, alien encounters with visiting beings plus many other experiences we do not understand. We were beginning to move ahead and then- it turned around.

I noticed the Internet chat rooms that once were full of paranormal rooms with bright conversation end abruptly about 6 months ago. Many rooms simply no longer exist. The bright people who once held interesting conversations disappeared. Some say it was due to the difficulty of dealing with so many disrupting vulgar chatters. People now have less time as they deal with the obligations of our times. Others told me that the fakes and frauds of lonely silly people making up fake stories started to sour things for those with real encounters. I think it was a combination of it all.

Things seemed to be slowing down and people seemed to be doing other things, all which is understandable during these strained economic times. I would have thought little of it and would have figured we would once again find our footing with the unknown once times stabilize across the world. I would have let it go at that until one big wrench after the other got thrown into the game. Again – the media started to force feed us entertaining movies that take the subjects of the unknown and place them firmly into a place where we can all keep them pushed aside and locked into the world of make believe fantasy. A convenient way to defuse any real need to know about these subjects and package them into comic book level sci- fi fantasy. It is a good way to remove it from the publics mind as anything serious or real. Simply throw a bunch of scary movies at them and it all neatly gets classed as a tickle and a giggle.

It was just too convenient in my minds eye. It was just too coincidental. All of a sudden we are once again flooded with new movies, TV shows and entertainment making all that we struggled so hard to bring into a modern light of understanding smack back into the world of fantasy fun viewing pleasure. What a perfect way to take the seriousness out of the unknown. Simply show them a movie and the world immediately turns that subject into a fun good show and continue on their way of continued brain freeze and ignorance about the very things they need to be educated about.

How convenient that just when we were making our way to understanding what the crafts may be that are seen all over the world by people each and every day, how convenient that when these sightings seem to be everywhere so are the trailers for the new Alien movie’ District Nine,’ among many others.

I noticed that vampires are everywhere with at least four movies and shows on the subject showing this summer. I looked at the new movies releasing to find Planet 51, Alien Attic, 2012, 9- a cartoon end of the world flick (how better to take the real fear out of a subject- simply cartoon it) not to mention a list of others coming this fall that take the serious subject of who and what and why we are being visited on earth and turning it all into great science fiction fantasy films.

How cleaver and easy it is to control the masses concerning these subjects. All that is needed is to feed our gluttonous need for constant mind numbing entertainment by turning the serious into fantasy. It relieves the need to explain these subjects as true events and continues the road of brain washing by continuing our path of Dark Age thinking. All that needs to be done is to take subjects that frighten humans and make them fun filled flicks!

I wish this were not true however if this was not the case we would stop the dumbing down of our logic by not accepting what is thrown at us about subjects that are without question. We know that sightings and strange encounters with non human beings are going on all around us and increasing in number. The question is why we are so blasé about it

I wonder why those in control do not simply have Hollywood or HBO make a great comedy about the economy or health care? They use it to control the subjects of the unknown, why not all serious matters? Make us yell in entertaining glee or laugh and it all goes away!

I guess it is far easier to slide back to the old comfort of not having to think about these things keeping them fun and fantasy. I must say I find this reaction at this point in time some of the strangest actions of mankind. It seems to be our way to take ten steps ahead and then five back.

As a society we are at the point where we do understand that the universe is a huge mystery that the best and brightest are yet to comprehend. Ask any scientist exactly what a black hole is, what is at its end, or why every galaxy seems to have them in their centers and they will tell you they do not know. They know they exist but are not really sure past that point. They understand a great deal and understand they also have a great deal yet to learn. The answers to so many things are in our future, which seems far away at times we back track instead of forging ahead.

The same thinking surrounds the subjects of UFO’s and the beings that visit us who are not human. It is hard to continue on this ridiculous road of denial concerning these issues yet we constantly slide back to a start point where comfort and fear seems to over ride logic and progress.

As long as we step over these subjects, allow them to be constantly used as a base for fantasy and fiction without any regard to truth or reality we will stay forever locked in the unknown.

As long as silly lonely people with too much time on their hands continue to use this subject matter as a road for attention- we will stay locked in the unknown. Until we stop trying to use this as silly entertainment only- we will stay locked in fantasy movie land and ignorant of that which we do not know. The paranormal is science we are yet to understand. It is not anything more or less. The only thing holding us back from the rest of the universe is our mind numbing attitudes concerning these unknown facts that we seem simply terrified to face or understand.

Of course there are reasons we are pushed into brain washed thinking of the paranormal as movie bait and horror show batter. I am sure it is far easier to keep mankind in the dark concerning these subjects. I am also aware of the fact that it may be our visitors who request that we stay unaware and in the dark concerning their actions and presence. Lets face it, it is far easier to abduct, use, abuse and then dump a human if no one believes it truly happens. It is getting to the point that so many people in this world have seen our visitors or had to deal first hand with them that the charade of deceit will only be able to hold for so long.

The bottom line here is as long as we let subjects that may one day be life or death events continue as entertainment fantasy, the harder life will be for mankind ahead.

Aliens exist. UFO’s are seen all over the world. 2011- 2015 may be a rough time on this planet. Isn’t it pathetic we refuse to face or educate our selves, refuse to want to have the knowledge we may need concerning these subjects and instead want to sit with the convenient coincidence of all these subjects watered down into a great new movie we can quickly forget? I find this sad and frightening for us all.

Are we really so easily lied to and controlled? Remember when you yawn your way past those who try to explain to you that the subjects of the unknown are real and coming – consider with care- if you really want to continue treating it all like this weeks new comic strip. It may be a decision that will truly have you laugh to death one day!

I will continue to try to reach the world with logic that the unknown is here and you may indeed be the next to come face to face with the unknown eyes of a non human creature on a lonely dark road. Gee if you make it through your encounter alive maybe they can make a great fun filled movie about your terrifying ordeal!

Be careful out there even after seeing the next great mega hit sci fi flick- who knows what really will be waiting for you in the dark night of that huge parking field!

NOTE: a newly found entity pair that materialized and captured in video by Paul Cochrane, Perth, Western Australia. His case is very intriguing with discoveries occurring regularly. There is still hope an experienced paranormal group will take the challenge and investigate this case...Lon

A friend, who is a 'sensitive', looked at these images and stated the following:

"It's a man and woman, a married couple. They were together in life and now bound together in death. They have been spirits for quite some time. I feel hey were among some of the early settlers. Some force is holding them earthbound. This may sound crazy but I get the letters "H, A and M". Not necessarily in that order."

The history and ongoing development of this remarkable case The Perth Orbs: A History and Theory

Mailbag: UFO and Extraterrestrial Experiences

I have been abducted by aliens. The last time I remember clearly was in 1979.

I was abducted with a large group of people on one occasion. It seemed they were studying human social interaction. The reason I say this is because I recognized an old boyfriend. He was married by then and the aliens suggested I go over and talk to him. I said I wouldn't because he was now married. They seemed very confused. If I still had strong feelings for him, why wouldn't I do this? His wife died since then (now ten years) and we have talked on the phone and send e-mails to each other, almost 25 years after we broke up.

Back in 1976, I met a family who said an alien lived in their house but was invisible. To prove it, the husband said he would ask the alien to put on a show for us that night. We all saw 5 crafts fly over and one hovered over the corn field after it got dark. They even flashed their lights when we waved. I know it sounds crazy, but I am at a point in my life where I know what I saw and don't care if anyone believes me or not. This family also told me that the government came to their home once a month to pickup notes the family kept. This all took place in Lansing, Michigan.

In 1994, something happened to me that would change my life. I witnessed a UFO for the first time.

At this time, I had working as a special security officer and I was in my car on my way back home from work late one night. I was in the southern of Sweden.

After I had driven a few miles, something suddenly started to glow on my left side. It was about 150 meters long 40-50 meters wide (it was huge!) and just looked like it was on fire. It looked like it was going down over a ridge, but change direction twice. Then it looked like it was going down again, so I tried to follow it with my car. But when I came around the ridge, I had to stop because there were 2 horses standing in the middle of the seemed like they were hypnotized.

After banging the horn for about 2 min, I got out of the car and could not move them. I pulled and push each one but they still stood there looking at me. I looked toward the glowing object but it was gone by that time.

I turned my car around and went home.

I know what I saw...I'm not crazy. Through the flames was a metallic body. I will never forget that. I even called the Swedish Air Force and asked them if something went down that night, but they stated nothing was reported.

I know that what I saw was NOT from this earth.

I had a trip every Tuesday night that left at midnight. The truck was a small and loaded with lots of sausage product, but carried a big payload (about the size of a standard pickup truck but a lot wider). I’d leave here around midnight and if making good time I’d stop at a truck stop for breakfast, unload my truck and then “back track” on my way back to deliver to any stores that was “short” on product.

That night was a very clear and warm night. I had the radio on but don’t recall the station. It was probably at least around 3:00 a.m. or later. Nothing remarkable but at some time the radio was acting strange. Would seem to have lots of static; then nothing; then clear as a bell. That probably happened for about 5 minutes or so and as I was looking around I noticed something out the right side window.

As I said, it was not something you could clearly see, but it was like a saucer with lights on the outside. I don’t want to dramatize this but I think the fact that the object didn’t streak across the sky brought its attention to me. It sort of hovered along side of me but some distance away. When you see a plane at night you see the port and starboard lights (one on the tail, one on bottom and one on top-normally red, and strobes on the wing tips). Back then I don’t know that there was any where near that kind of marking on aircraft so white lights would not have been a concern.

All I knew was that it did not look like a traditional plane nor did it act like a traditional aircraft. It was like a cigar (saucer) shaped based on the lights. Nothing on top or bottom to define height. It seemed to spin but not fast but that may just have been the motion because the movement of the lights was not fast. Hard to explain. I don’t recall that it made any noise, just seemed to hover while along side and then disappeared.

Obviously, I had to concentrate on the road so I don’t know what direction it went but it was quick. The lights just went off and it was gone. Since I didn’t stare at it, I can’t tell you how long between glances. At the time I figured we had some experimental stuff that we weren’t supposed to know about (and that may still be the truth) but it was strange. Not at all scary, but not something one expects to see.

Missile Deployment: Is Russian Policy Towards North Korea Changing? - Analysts do not consider Russia’s steps to deploy air defense systems in the Far East as a change in policy toward Pyongyang.

Chief of Russia’s General Staff, Nikolay Makarov, told journalists on August 26 that Russia had deployed the S-400 Triumph air defense systems in the Far East to counter the potential threat posed by North Korea's missile tests.

Makarov explained the move by the proximity of North Korea’s missile launch sites to the Russian border and the need to protect the territory from failed launches. The air defense systems are supposed to secure the territory from misfired missiles and their debris, he said.

Many analysts in Russia take the statement as a positive move, saying that Russia has to protect itself from any failed launches of North Korean missiles. Editor-in chief of the Vestnik PVO magazine, Said Aminov, told Expert magazine website that “any deployment of modern defensive weapons in any region of our country is a normal practice that satisfies our interests.”

“The question of deploying additional defensive weapons in the Far East arose in June after a new series of missile launches in North Korea,” Kommersant daily wrote. The paper added that Japanese media at the time cited the Japanese Defense Ministry as saying that Pyongyang was preparing tests of long-range ballistic missiles.

“First deputy chief of Russia’s General Staff Aleksandr Burutin reacted to that immediately: if a misfired missile from North Korea flew in the direction of Russia, it would be shot down,” Kommersant wrote.

Anatoly Nogovitsyn, deputy chief of the General Staff, also said in June that Moscow was ready to deploy S-400 systems in the Far East, the daily added.

However, now some analysts believe that the air defense systems in the Far East are supposed to protect Russian territory not only from North Korean launches. Konstantin Sivkov, first vice president of the Academy of Geopolitical Problems, told Expert online that “Russia is building its own missile and anti-aircraft defense systems as a balance against what the US has in that region.”

Aminov, however, stressed that missile defense systems of Russia and the US are not aimed at each other “because it is defense – radars and interceptors, not warheads.” The systems “simply secure defense. It is a normal thing,” he added.

As for a possible threat connected with North Korea’s tests, Sivkov believes that “it would be strange to protect itself from launches from North Korea.” “Pyongyang does not threaten Russia,” the analyst stressed.

He added that it would be wrong to think that the air defense system would destroy a missile from North Korea and ensure that it would not fall on the Russian territory.

“A missile in this case only changes its trajectory, but it would still fall on our territory,” Sivkov noted. And if a missile is destroyed above the territory of North Korea, “it would be an act of aggression” against that country, he added.

Anatoly Kornukov, former commander-in-chief of the Russian air force, told Kommersant that “the deployment of one S-400 division (even if it has actually happened) does not change anything in principle.”

“Such systems should be deployed in the Far East flank to create a real structure of the missile defense,” Kornukov said.

Meanwhile, some media said that the fact of deployment of Russian air defense systems in the Far East has not been confirmed. Kommersant wrote that sources of the paper in the Russian army did not know anything about the arrival of the S-400 system. If the systems were being deployed, “it would be a big event, no one would make a secret of it,” the paper said.

The deployment of S-400 air defense systems in the Far East is only being planned, “an anonymous high-ranking source” told Interfax news agency on August 27. The defense ministry “has not yet started the implementation of this task,” he added.

“At the moment, such systems have been deployed and are in operational readiness only in the Moscow region,” the agency quoted the source as saying. “In the future, there are plans to deploy the systems at an aircraft defense unit based in the Far East,” he said.

However, the supplies will be secured only “after the systems are produced by industry,” the agency noted.

Another question arises after the statement about the S-400 deployment – is Russia changing its policy toward North Korea? Vyacheslav Nikonov, the president of the Polity Foundation, believes that it would be wrong to think that Moscow now considers North Korea its potential adversary.

At the same time, North Korea is a state that tests missiles, and one cannot call the missile technology of that country absolutely effective, Nikonov told Gazeta daily.

“In this situation, Russia’s desire to protect itself from such tests looks quite logical,” he said. “It’s no jesting matter: tests of nuclear weapons are being conducted about 350 kilometers off our border and missiles are being launched that may fly to our territory,” Nikonov stressed.

Fedor Lukyanov, editor-in-chief of the magazine Russia in Global Affairs, believes that North Korea may be “an adversary for South Korea or Japan, but not for such a country as Russia.”

The deployment of the air defense systems is continuing the line of toughening Moscow’s relations with Pyongyang, which began after the recent missile launches conducted by North Korea, he said.

Now all the participants of talks with North Korea, including Russia and China, are openly demonstrating their discontent with Pyongyang’s behavior, Lukyanov told Gazeta. By deploying air defense systems in the Far East, Moscow is showing that it does not trust North Korea, he added.

“Moreover, North Korea has spoken deprecatingly about Russia’s role in six-party talks,” Lukyanov said. “Pyongyang is pressing for a dialogue directly with the US,” he stressed. “It is clear that other sides in the six-party talks have taken it as an insult.”

For Sale: 17th Century English Mansion - Caveat: Cursed - For Sale: Luxurious 17th century mansion complete with cricket pitch, designer kitchen, Norman cellar – and also a spine-chilling curse on whoever owns it.

It could be yours for £6m – but according to folklore, whoever ends up the new owner of Howsham Hall, a listed stately home, near Malton, may find money cannot buy happiness.

The hall is on the market for only the third time in 400 years, and estate agents say its grand history and luxurious trappings are of more interest to buyers than the curse reputed to hang over the property.

The legend dates back to 1610 when Sir William Bamburgh was accused of benefiting from the destruction of nearby Kirkham Priory, a religious community founded by Lord of Helmsley Walter l'Espec in the 1120s.

L'Espec also founded Rievaulx Abbey close to his estate, and a smaller abbey in Bedfordshire. But Kirkham was built as a poignant tribute to l'Espec's only son, who died close to the site in a fall from a horse.

It continued as a community until Henry VIII's dissolution of the monasteries in 1539. When the Bamburghs began building their country seat 70 years later they found that the nearby ruins provided a ready-made supply of stone and timber.

But it was sacrilege to some and a curse was said to have been put on Howsham Hall and its owners, so that – just like Walter l'Espec – they would lose their male offspring.

According to the so-called Curse of Kirkham, "All male heirs of the estate would perish" and "true happiness would never come to that family or its successors".

However, so far potential buyers seem more interested in the seven bedroom suites, five reception rooms and snooker room, 83 acres of parkland, and lawns laid out as a cricket pitch, plus a boathouse and fishing rights on the nearby River Derwent.

Estate agent Ben Pridden, of Savills in York, said they had had inquiries from as far away as Budapest and no one had raised the so-called curse as an issue.

He added: "Every old house these days has some tale attached to it, whether it is a ghost or a curse. The curse was probably put on the house at the same time they were drowning witches.

"It would be more of a worry if someone had been murdered in it last week. We find people in this day and age are generally less superstitious.

"We've had an incredible response since it went on the market in June, having shown round over a dozen people who have had a serious interest in it."

The house had been sold to the present owner after being run as a prep school. He had decided to sell because he spent so much time overseas and had nearly finished converting the property back into a private house.

A Savills spokesman added: "This really is a one-off. Houses of this quality very rarely come to the market. For a property with no agricultural land, it's probably the most important property on the market in Yorkshire at the moment."

Four families have owned the hall down the years - the Bamburghs, Wentworths, Cholmleys, and the Stricklands.

Scarborough historian Jack Binns dismissed the curse as bunkum, saying both the Cholmley and Strickland family names had continued until the present day.

He added: "Virtually every gentleman's house in the country is built of monastery and priory stone so there would not be an aristocratic family left alive if it was true."

Curse or not, whoever ends up owning Howsham Hall will be getting a bargain. Property experts have already estimated the stately home would be valued at £10m if it was in the South of England.

Past Residents Still Haunt Florida Museum - Spirits don't take vacations. At least that's what Bonnie LeTourneau thinks.

Although the May-Stringer Heritage Museum has been closed for the past month for its annual cleaning and maintenance, the woman who hosts the celebrated ghost tours at the museum says things inside the Victorian mansion remain as spooky as ever.

"I don't think it's possible to chase away the spirits that reside there," LeTourneau said. "They've been there too long."

As a weekend volunteer guide, LeTourneau leads groups of visitors in search of the many mysteries that surround the four-story, 12-room museum. Legend has it that the 151-year-old house, originally built by Brooksville pioneer John May, is inhabited by the spirits of long-deceased family members, including May's 3-year-old daughter, Jessie.

All of which, in the minds of LeTourneau and others, explains some of the strange occurrences that go on there. In addition to numerous odd noises, museum staffers have reported encountering images of people moving through darkened hallways, cold spots and mists that suddenly appear in areas of the house, and glowing orbs of light that hover over the house's tin roof.

LeTourneau said her own encounters with these "entities" have been fairly frequent. She has often heard footsteps coming from the upper floors of the house and has felt the touch of something or someone on her shoulder when no one else is around. And then there's the soft wail of a small child that LeTourneau and many others believe belongs to Jessie May.

"It sent shivers down my spine the first time I heard it," LeTourneau said. "It was very unsettling.

LeTourneau admits she was a skeptic when she first set foot inside the door of the house near downtown Brooksville 3 1/2 years ago. Nevertheless, she felt a strange attraction to the history of the edifice, which through the years also served as a boardinghouse and a doctor's office. At the behest of museum caretakers, she began conducting special group tours on weekend nights for those interested in exploring the home's deepest secrets.

Although the museum's paranormal activity can be somewhat inconsistent, LeTourneau claims there is enough going on that the house has earned "hot spot" status from such supernatural investigative groups as Paranormal Seekers and Florida Ghost Hunters.

The May-Stringer Heritage Museum

The May-Stringer Heritage Museum, also known as the Hernando Heritage Museum, is located at the May-Stringer House in Brooksville, Florida. It contains over 10,000 artifacts in the War Room with items from the American Civil War to the Vietnam War, The Doctor’s Officer with vintage medical items, Kitchen and other Living Area with antique household items, and the School Room which replicates an old school.

In 1855, a man named John May purchased a large parcel of land in what would become Brooksville for himself and his wife, Marena. It took a year to complete the home. When finished, May donated fifteen acres of his land to the county for use as a county seat. May, however, didn't live in his home for too long as he died of undisclosed causes. His wife, Marena, remarried a man named Frank Saxon. Life was fine for a while, but Marena died giving birth to Saxon's daughter, Jessie May. He was heartbroken, but consoled that his child still lived. Tragedy struck, however, when little Jessie May died at the age of three. By some accounts, there was another daughter, either with Marena or from a previous relationship, who also died. Jessie May was buried in the front yard in an unmarked grave, next to her mother. Saxon remained in the house for a short time before moving away.

The house was bought by Dr. Sheldon Stringer, who not only lived there, but treated patients in the downstairs room he added. He also used the home for a period as a sanatorium, treating diseases such as smallpox and yellow fever in the home's bedrooms. Why the Stringers left the house is unknown, but the house sat empty and abandoned for many years. Looters destroyed much of the home before letting it sit and decay.

A fire in 1877 destroyed all the records of the home, including documents pertaining to whom the house belonged. It was adopted by Hernando County, and the new courthouse was built next door. After a period when no one knew what to do with the home, the decision was made to turn the Stringer House into a window back onto Florida's frontier days, and the Hernando Heritage Museum was born.

Though there are believed to be at least eight resident spirits that haunt the museum, most of them are remnants of the time when the home was used to treat those dying of disease. Believed to be former patients of Dr. Stringer, their presences felt by way of feelings of being watched, general heaviness, and the occasional tortured cry. At least one ghost was caused by Hernando County's first "drive by" shooting, which was actually committed on horseback. A seventh, reputed to be a World War II soldier who hung himself in the master bedroom after his fiance married another man, has never been proven. But of the eighth, there is no doubt.

She's been seen, heard, felt and experienced by countless visitors, employees, and guests. She is one of the most tragic ghosts in the world, always sad, and just wanting her mommy. She is Jessie May Saxon. Though she never knew her mother, she longed for a mother's touch. According to reports, she would wake in the middle of the night and walk around the house crying out for her mommy. According to some, she willed her own death so she could follow her mother into the world beyond.

While everyone who has encountered her claims she's mostly harmless, she does have her moments. Toys that have been moved from her favorite spot have been found scattered, moved, or rearranged. She also has a favorite doll, and is reputed to throw tantrums if anyone removes it from the crib, hers, in which it lays.

One year, while setting up for a Mother's Day celebration, volunteers set up a display of several teacups. When they returned the next day, there was one extra teacup added, though no one had entered the house. The next day, another was discovered, and another the next day. The cups were left on the table after it was discovered that unseen hands were moving them from the china cabinet. Some theorize that Jessie May wanted to add as many teacups as she could maybe her own mother would have a place.

The most disturbing, and frequent, phenomenon attributed to Jessie May is the sad child's voice calling out to her mother, followed by sounds of her crying. Heard by visitors from all over the world, the sound is reputed to be heart-wrenching to any who hears it.

Swiss 'Suicidal' Cows Have Scientists Baffled the picturesque Swiss village of Lauterbrunnen the locals are worried.

Dozens of alpine cows appear to be committing suicide by throwing themselves off a cliff near the small village in the Alps.

In the space of just three days 28 cows and bulls have mysteriously died after they plunged hundreds of metres to rocks below where they were killed instantly.

In each case local mountain rescue services using a helicopter had to be called in to remove the bodies because of the danger to the local groundwater of pollution.

A police spokesman said: 'There are no large carnivores living in the Alps anymore who would once have disposed of the bodies so they have to be moved.

'We are investigating because cows growing up in the mountains normally can estimate dangers and do not plunge down cliffs.'

According to local reports there had been violent thunderstorms in the area which may well have have spooked the animals.

Cows wandering at high altitude are a common sight across much of the Alps, where farmers let them loose to graze on the green plateaus above the villages.

Often carrying large bells around their necks, most are dairy cows as the mix of vegetation and grasses at that high altitude are particularly good for milk and for making cheese.

Cows do occasionally fall to their deaths in these Alpine regions although it is rare for so many to fall in one particular place.

There has been speculation in the past that when this does happen it is because a tightly-grouped number of cows have followed each other as they search for more grass.

Most scientists generally believe that animals are incapable of committing suicide.

Even lemmings, which by popular myth throw themselves off cliffs during mating season, do not take their own lives intentionally.

Instead, evolutionary pressures cause them to feel the urge to change habitat at which point they migrate in huge droves.

Sometimes, particularly in Scandanavia, they reach clifftops overlooking an ocean and, driven by the urge to cross a body of water, throw themselves off in order to swim to the other side.

They often die of exhaustion or drown as a result.

The myth came to the public's attention when a Disney wildlife film in the 1950s mocked up the lemming migration to make it look like the animals had committed suicide.

Russian Scientist Claims to Photograph Souls

The activity of Konstantin Korotkov, deputy director of the St. Petersburg Research Institute of Physical Culture and world-renowned authority on Kirlian photography, was recently highlighted by Korotkov is the developer of the gas-discharge visualization (GDV) technique in Kirlian photography.

Kirlian photography takes its name from Soviet electrician Semyon Kirlian, who discovered the process in 1939. It was the subject of extensive research in the 1970s in the Soviet Union and the West. It is commonly described as photographing an object’s aura. According to a website associated with Korotkov, he “confirmed earlier observations… that the stimulated electro-photonic glow around human fingertips contained astonishingly coherent and comprehensive information about the human state – both physiological and psychological.”

In other words, the GDV technique, which was developed in the late 1990s, can be used for diagnostic and assessment purposes. It is already used to measure stress and monitor the progress of medical treatments. In its most sophisticated form, the GDV technique is incorporated with computer imaging.

Now scientists have taken GDV photographs of a person as he was dying. In the photos, it could be seen that the area of the belly lost its life force (the purported soul) first, followed by the head. The heart and groin were the last to lose their life force, in that order.

Scientists using the GDV technique say that the aura of those who die unexpectedly or violently differs from those who experience a calm death. The souls of the former remain in a state of confusion for several days and return frequently to their bodies, especially at night. Korotkov ascribes that phenomenon to unused energy retained by the soul. He suggests that the GDV technique will also have applications for distinguishing genuine psychics from frauds.

Gas Discharge Visualization

The Gas Discharge Visualization technique (GDV) is a breakthrough beyond Kirlian photography for direct, real-time viewing of the human energy field (aura).

This new technology allows one to capture by a special camera the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual energy emanating to and from an individual, plants, liquids, powders, inanimate objects and translate this into a computerized model.

The Gas Discharge Visualization camera was invented by Dr. Konstantin Korotkov, a leading scientist from St. Petersburg, Russia.

MUFON Issues Press Release on Dallas I-20 Incident

The following is a press release on a mysterious object that was transported in the Ft Worth, Dallas, area on August 7th of this year. An unknown person or persons had posted photographs on Twitter Web site of a strange object being transported in the Ft Worth, Dallas, Texas area.

Investigators from MUFON had responded, within 24 hours. Investigators deployed, were STAR TEAM Member’s Fletcher Gray from Houston, Texas, and Gary Neitze, from Arlington, Texas.

A personal interview was conducted with TXDOT Rep.

Information from the interview

A permit was obtained by Lockheed from Austin, Texas, to transport a fighter type aircraft from Ft Worth to Houston.

April of 2009 a transfer was conducted on an F-35 aircraft, more than likely going to the UK.

The photo above left shows the aircraft is being loaded at the Port of Houston.

Witness statements stating that they saw the craft west on I-20 exiting 287, south toward I-45. Statements in the report state that they could see part of an aircraft but an unknown type.

At the present time Lockheed Martin is in production of the F-35 and the F-22. The size and shape of the object subject that it was an F-35 in transit. Information was obtained that the aircraft is divided into as many as six parts.

The fuselage was the part of the shipment that everyone on the highway was observing. Observe close at the fuselage; part of the wing structure is built into the aircraft. This aircraft is only 35 feet wide and 52 feet long.

Looking at the craft without the wing or back section it has a saucer shape.

The aircraft is placed on a flat bed trailer with the landing gears for support. The aircraft is then bolted to the bed and trailer, and the protective boxes are fitted around for protection. The boxes are called BBB's or Big Blue Boxes.

Under the amber light the cover would appear green. Notice, there are no tie downs or covering.

The escort around the aircraft may have been from Lockheed and or a private transport company.

At this time MUFON does not wish to discuss the origin of photos. More than likely they were taken with a cell phone. They are of poor quality but enough information was there to know that it was not a UFO.

The origin of these photo remains a mystery. MUFON does not know who submitted them on Twitter web site.

This case was closed by MUFON STAR TEAM as an IFO.

NOTE: I was contacted by MUFON and told them that the convoy made it's way to Houston (3 witnesses emailed me). The extent of further information that they received in reference to the I-45 leg of convoy to Houston is unknown...but they had no idea of what happened to this convoy beyond the Dallas area sightings until they contacted me. Honestly, this explanation is suspicious. I have discussed this with several knowledgeable people in and out of the government and military who tell me that this was probably not a F-35. Again, I'm afraid MUFON may have gotten stonewalled...Lon

Was a UFO Trucked Through Dallas? UPDATE

Is this an F-19 Stealth fighter? Perhaps an F-22 Raptor? Or is it a uncovered UFO on a flatbed truck? It's been suggested that it could possibly be a movie prop but what would the military, or local police have to do with it?

On August 7, 2009 at between 9:00 to 9:30 p.m., traffic on I-20 in Dallas was blocked while a convoy of dark Tahoes, military vehicles and local police escorted a flatbed truck carrying, what a caller to a local radio station said was a UFO. Police began blocking entrance ramps to I-20 and evidently the radio station was told not to replay audio of the callers, then supposedly their email system went to auto.

It also makes one wonder that if is is a UFO, why wouldn't it be covered with a tarp, or enclosed in some type of huge crate? What better way to hide something than in plain sight? Well, lose the escort then and no one will even notice!

Twitter has been "all a twitter" about this incident. Is the secrecy due to the transport of a hitherto unknown fighter plane in transit, or a captured UFO? We may never know.

Meanwhile, I have attempted to enhance one of the low quality photos of the object. All I can say is that the object certainly is strange.

(Enlarged and levels corrected)
(Image isolated)

NOTE: Thanks to SW at Lights in the Sky. I received several emails in reference to this incident...I wasn't sure what to make of it...Lon

UPDATE: I received 3 emails this morning from witnesses that verify that this convey was on I-45 south heading towards Houston, TX. One of the witnesses stated that they spotted it about 25 miles out of Houston near Conroe, TX. Of course, we all know that NASA's Johnson Space Flight Center and other top aeronautical entities reside in and around Houston. Food for thought...Lon

Patrick Stewart Witnesses Ghost During Stage Performance - He saw the apparition while performing Waiting for Godot with Sir Ian McKellen.

Stage hands believe he saw the ghost of John Baldwin Buckstone, who was actor-manager of the Theatre Royal Haymarket in the mid 19th century and a friend of Charles Dickens.

Upon coming offstage for the interval, Stewart told his co-star that he saw a man standing in the wings wearing what looked like a beige coat and twill trousers.

Sir Ian asked him: "What happened, what threw you?"

"I just saw a ghost. On stage, during Act One," Stewart replied.

The episode was related in a documentary about the Theatre Royal Haymarket, produced by television channel Sky Arts.

However, it appears cameramen failed to capture images of the ghost itself.

Buckstone had a long association with the Theatre Royal, first as a comic actor, then as a playwright and finally as its actor-manager from 1853 to 1877, during which time it put on some 200 productions. The house became the leading comic theatre of the day.

He did not die in the building, passing away peacefully at home in Sydenham, Kent, after a long illness in 1879 aged 77. But theatre lore professes that he nevertheless haunts the place to the present day.

Nigel Everett, a director of the theatre, said: "Patrick told us all about it. He was stunned. I would not say frightened, but I would say impressed."

Appearances of Buckstone were not that frequent, Mr Everett said, with the last being by a stage hand about three or four years ago.

He added: "The last time an actor saw him would have been I think Fiona Fullerton, playing in an Oscar Wilde, 10 or 12 years ago.

"The ghost tends to appear when a comedy is playing."

While he said he did not consider Waiting for Godot to be a comedy, he thought their production did have comic aspects.

"I think Buckstone appears when he appreciates things," he added. "We view it as a positive thing."

Boy Survives 8 Days Alone in Kruger National Park - Alex Mboweni, 12, astonished rescuers by fending for himself for so long, drinking from waterholes shared by wild animals.

He became separated from his family after they ran from border guards while crossing from their native Mozambique into Limpopo province in north east South Africa.

"I got lost and never thought anyone would find me alive. I did not know where I was or where to go and when the sun went down on the first day I sat next to an anthill to keep warm," he said.

"I was really scared at night as I heard wild animals making lots of noise. I heard lions roar in the night and other animals making noises. I was very scared.

"I was so glad to see the sun come up and I was thirsty but I couldn't see any water for the next two days. On the third day I was really weak and I thought I was going to die but I kept walking until I suddenly found the river.

"As I was drinking the water a huge elephant came charging at me so I ran away again. For the next few nights I slept on the anthill and went to the river once in the day to drink some water but I felt myself getting weaker and weaker."

The boy's father went to a police station in the border town of Saselamani to say his son was lost in the bush. A search was then mounted by police and the family in the area where he had last been seen.

"After eight days I was too weak to walk to the river and I lost all hope. But then I heard the voice of my mother calling my name, said Alex.

"The voices echoed down the rivers and the valleys so I managed to get closer to where I heard the voice calling my name and it was real, it was my mother calling me."

A police spokesman said: "After his father told us Alex was lost in the park we went with him and his mother to look for his son.

"We told his mum to climb on top of a hill and call his name. She climbed up the hill and called her son's name five times and on the sixth shout, Alex appeared.

"I thought he must have been eaten by lions and it was only a million to one chance that he would be alive. I couldn't believe my eyes when he came out of the bush."

South Africa shares a 400-mile border with eastern neighbour Mozambique, more than half of which is the massive Kruger National Park which itself covers 7,000 sq miles and is a favourite with British tourists. It has nearly 150 species of animals including lions, cheetah, leopard, hippo, buffalo, zebra, rhino and elephants.

Tens of thousands of Mozambicans cross illegally into South Africa for a better life every year. The former Portuguese colony is one of the poorest countries in the world, ranked 172 out of 177 countries by the UN.

Paul shot this video on July 24th. In slow motion there is a depiction of a face shaped orb. Paul has maintained this apparition occurs....this is the first time he was able to capture it on video

© P&M Network Images

This is an enhancement of an 'entity' from video #69 titled 'Reptilian'. The first screen cap is the entity coming towards the camera and Paul (just materializing). The second and third screen caps depict the entity at the nearest point to the camera and Paul before it disappears...Paul states within a few seconds.... 'what was that'?

A discussion thread and page on this phenomena is located here Discussion: Ghost Orbs or Alien Visitations and here Ghost Orbs or Alien Visitations. Feel free to go and read the discussion and background of this case.

NOTE: we are still attempting to get a paranormal group in Western far,all we have received is lip service. This phenomena needs to be investigated professionally...Lon

AMAZING Videos: Massive 'Orb' Activity

These videos are, by far, the most incredible examples of paranormal activity I have ever witnessed.

Check out the bottom left of the screen near the 0.32 sec. mark. What does that look like to you? To me, it looks like something was moving near the floor.

I enlarged one of the 'orbs' from Paul's video 7-6-09. I enhanced it a has a yo-yo shape to it.

Here is an enhanced 'orb' from the last video. It's hard to get great detail but there seems to be some structure to it. I estimated that this object was just 2-3 feet from the camera.

NOTE: I'm going to continue reporting on this phenomena. We have contacted several paranormal groups in Western Australia to investigate this far, no response...Lon

This video is from July 9, 2009. At the .17 mark, an 'orb' appears then fades away. I took 3 closeup and enhanced screen caps of this 'orb'...the last image is just before it disappears.

Remarkable videos of 'orb' activity in a small flat in Perth, Australia. The user has setup a CCTV as well as a video camera that monitors his computer screen. Currently, he has posted several weeks worth of activity though it has been present for much longer. Go to to view all the videos. Granted, it is hard to see some of the video (when the computer screen is captured by the video cam) but the activity and audio is detectable.

NOTE: the user (Paul) had contacted me previously in reference to this paranormal activity in order to pinpoint the problem. I have ask several friends and associates to contact him and offer advise...Lon
